Disabling Parameter Lock

Purpose:
Disable the “Parameter Lock Function” to write new parameter values.

Overview:
This procedure will allow temporary disable the “Parameter Lock Function” by setting a PLC
register.

Tools Needed:
None

Instructions:
I. Access “PLC I/F” screen
A. Press [Diag/Data IN-OUT] key
B. Press [PLC I/F] key

II. Change “R1896” value to “0” to disable the parameter lock and change parameters
A. Enter the following data: DEVICE( R1896) DATA( 0) MODE(2)
B. Press the [INPUT] key – you will receive an alarm “Message M90 - Parameter Setup
Mode”. This is normal.

III. Modify parameters as necessary

IV. Change “R1896” value to “1” to enable the parameter lock again.
A. Access the “PLC I/F” Screen
B. Enter the following data: DEVICE( R1896) DATA( 1) MODE(2)
C. Press the [INPUT] key.
