1. Purpose
When the machine sent to customer, we have to instruct the installation process for servo
motor assemble and absolute position calibration.
2. Scope
MITSUBISHI M64, M65, Magic64, M625 Controller (dog type)

5. Content
When you execute axis setting,you have to set by individual ,set all axes in the same
(2) Input Y → select soft key INPUT enter the setting of machine parameter.
(5) Execute step of (1)(2) once more,press TOOL PARAM select [ MENU ] →
[ SETUP ] , the setting of parameter for absolute value will be started.
(a) SERVO 3.1/8 → servo parameter #2217(SPEC) set the original value (consult with
the appendix 6.1)
(b) AXIS 2.5/7 → axis parameter #2049 type set 3 (consult with the appendix 6.2)
(6) Turn off controller and then restart,appear ALARM “ Z70 ABS ILLGEAL”,execute zero
return.
(7) Turn to mode of HANDLE,make use the pulse generator travel to safety position in
negative direction.
(8) Turn to mode of ZRN ,select the traveling key of “+” direction,it will stop when the limit
switch touch the dog,the LCD of zero return finished will light on. The zero return and the
setting of absolute value were accomplish.
(3) Turn to HANDLE mode,make use the pulse generator move the axis to the indicate
symbol “0” .
(4) Execute the steps of 5.2 (1)(2) once more,press TOOL PARAM select [ MENU ] →
[ SETUP ] , the setting of parameter for absolute value will be started.
(a) SERVO 3.1/8 → servo parameter #2217(SPEC) set the original value (consult with
the appendix 6.1)
(b) AXIS 2.5/7 → axis parameter #2049 type set 3 (consult with the appendix 6.2
(5) Turn off controller and then restart.
(6) Press the soft key DIAGN IN/OUT select [ MANU ] → [ ABS-SRV ] → [ NEXT
PAGE ] → enter ALARM/DIAGN 5.2/2
(8) Turn to HANDLE mode,move to negative direction by pulse generator,if you get the
drawing as below picture, this situation replace setting of absolute value finished.
STATE → OK
TO END → (Random value)
MACHINE →(The value reveal same as TO END)
