Pre-lesson
1.Teacher makes circles of ten pupils and make a ball out of paper for each
group.
2. Hand a ball to a pupil . He/She says One and then throws the ball to a pupil
who says Two. After finish, they count backwards

Lesson delivery
1. Teacher present and practise numbers 11–20 with the pupils.
LEARNING 2. Pupils look at the pictures in the Student’s Book.
3. Teacher plays the recording twice. Pupils listen and repeat.
OUTLINES
4. Use the flashcards to practise the numbers.
5. Show them first in sequence and then at random and
elicit the numbers from pupils.
6. In pairs, pupils put the food words from SB Activity 3 into
alphabetical order.

Pre-lesson
1. Teacher writes number 1-20 on the board with missing numbers in the
sequence. Random pupils are called to fill in the blanks with the correct
numbers. Answers are checked.

Lesson delivery
1. Pupils refer to textbook page 53. Teacher reads the sentences and pupils
follow the teacher.
2. Pupils are asked to copy the sentences and write ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ beside the
LEARNING sentences (M). Pupils can also be asked to read the sentences and write only
OUTLINES the answers. Pupils are guided to read the sentences and write the correct
answer (L).
3. Pupils refer to the basket in Activity 2. Pupils are asked to read the
sentence in the speech bubble. Pupils are asked to say other sentences based
on the picture (M). Teacher can write I’ve got _________ in my basket and
pupils fill in the blanks (L)

Post lesson
1. A short spelling quiz on the topics fruits is conducted.

OUTLINES 1. Teacher asks pupils what are fruit and vegetable. Pupils share their
answers.
Lesson delivery
1. Pupils refer to textbook page 54. Pupils look at the picture and read each
word aloud. Pupils repeat the activity.
2. Teacher asks pupils to question on the page, “Is it important to eat fruits
and vegetable to be healthy?”. Pupils conduct a think-pair-share session.
3. Pupils are introduced to the _____ is/are my favourite fruit/vegetable.
4. Pupils practise the sentence using their favourite fruit/vegetable in groups
of 3.
5. A sorting worksheet is given to pupils. Teacher explains that pupils cut and
paste the pictures in the correct category.
6. Pupils complete the sorting activity as teacher checks pupils’ answers and
also guides pupils to complete the sorting.
