1.0 SITE: Rodriguez, Rizal

The chosen site is located in the city of Burgos, Rodriguez, Rizal. The municipality of
Rodriguez, Rizal has 36,307.31 hectares in which makes it the largest town of the
province. However, 62% of its total area is a part of the Marikina Watershed
Reservation. Rodriguez, Rizal was originally named Montalban, Rizal and is said to
have a Spanish contraction of the words “Monte Alba” or “White Mountains”.

2.0 SITE INVENTORY

The location of the site has an elevation of 23 meters which is located on the lower part
of Rodriguez, Rizal.

The soil type of the chosen site is code 20 – Marikina Silt Loam which means that the
land is good for cultivation.

The satellite shows a large clearing in the chosen site which is seen to be good for
cultivation.

The Google Street Map shows that the site is near two bodies of water namely: Mango
River and Marikina River.

The figure shows that the area is surrounded by residential and terminal stations thus
the site is in the urban zone of the community and shows little to no wildlife in the area.

The site shows moderate traffic flow along A. Mabini Road and Gen. Luna Ave in the
weekdays while in the weekends shows light to moderate traffic flow.

facing the road; the right side also shows that the side is beside a factory and residential

Our Lady of the Holy Rosary was founded in 1871 by Fr. Eustaquio, a native of Pasig
that was called “Padre Quako”. He was also the one established the municipality of the
former Montalban, Rizal of the same year.

The Rodriguez Ancestral House belonged to Eulogio Rodriguez Sr. – resident, and a
political figure inside and outside the municipality. The town of Rodriguez in the province
of Rizal was renamed from Montalban, Rizal in honor of Don Eulogio Rodriguez. The
heritage site, although recorded from the official website of DILG, cannot be found in the
Google Maps.

The Satellite View Map of the vicinity shows that it has poor view from all its side as it

around Rodriguez, Rizal. The following sites that are boxed in orange are some of the
