Quantum Physics

HELLO!
Nezy Canillo
I'm the one who's going to present our presentation on behalf
of my partner.

The person who has done everything but is still not loved. He
was also the person who did our presentation all by himself.

What is Quantum Physics?

3
❏ Quantum physics is a branch of
physics that deals with the behavior
of particles, atoms, electrons,
photons and almost everything in
the molecular and sub-molecular
realm.

4
❏ The story of quantum physics can
be said to begin in 1859, a full 32
years before the discovery of the
electron.

5
❏ The basic mathematical framework
of this concept was first developed
in the 1920s by Niels Bohr, Werner
Heisenberg, Erwin Schrödinger and
others.

7
❏ Mathematics is essential to the field.
❏ Equations are used to describe or
help predict quantum objects and
phenomena.

8
❏ The act of observation is a topic of
considerable discussion in quantum
physics.

9
❏ Quantum physics is the revolution
that overthrew classical physics.

10
What is Classical Physics?

11
❏ Classical physics refers to theories of physics
that predate modern, more complete, or more
widely applicable theories.

12
❏ Classical physics is causal; comprehensive
knowledge of the past allows for future
prediction. Similarly, comprehensive knowledge
of the future enables accurate computation of
the past.

13
Why was quantum physics
developed?

14
❏ Quantum physics has been developed because
there were phenomena that classical physics
couldn't explain.

15
❏ For example, colors. Why do certain materials
have specific colors? That is explained by the
spectroscopy of the constituent materials, which
is only described by quantum theory.

16
❏ Quantum theory may be generally
counterintuitive, but it provides a level of
description or explanation far beyond what is
possible with classical physics.

17
❏ Most physicists agree that quantum physics is
the correct theory.

18
What is the distinction
between Quantum and
Classical Physics?
19
❏ For example, a particle wants to go from point A
to B. In classical physics, the path taken by the
particle is known, but in quantum physics, the
particle can take every possible path from A to
B. It can go through the shortest path or it can
go all the way to the moon, revolve around it,
and come back to point B.

20
Quantum Physics' Social
Impact
21
❏ Our fundamental understanding of materials,
chemistry, biology, and astronomy has been
enriched by quantum discoveries.

22
❏ These findings are a crucial source of innovation,
giving rise to gadgets like lasers and transistors
and permitting genuine progress on
technologies that were long thought to be
completely theoretical, such as quantum
computers.

23
❏ Physicists are investigating the potential of
quantum science to alter our understanding of
gravity and its relationship to space and time.

24
❏ Quantum physics may even show how
everything in the world or universes is linked to
everything else through higher levels that our
senses cannot comprehend.
