Determining/measuring the
object (plate):
I used a tape measure in
measuring the whole length of
the plate, and I got 26cm, which
also counts as the diameter of
the plate, to get the radius, we
simply need to divide the value
of the diameter with 2;
Solution:
26/2
= 13
so the radius is 13cm.

Graphing the plate to the cartesian
plane:
According to the instructions, we
(0, 0) must graph the center of the object
(-13, 0) (13, 0) at the origin of the cartesian plane,
which means that the coordinate of
the center of the object is at (0, 0).
Another way to measure the radius
of the object is by measuring the
distance from the center to any
point on the circle, and if we do that,
we will still get 13cm as our radius.

Writing the SFE and GFE of the
circle(plate):
Formula for SFE if the center of the
(0, 0) circle is at the origin: x² + y² = r²,
(-13, 0) (13, 0)
where r is radius. For this, we
simply need to substitute the value
of the radius of this circle which is
13 to the formula.
Solution:
x² + y² = r²
x² + y² = 13²
x² + y² = 169

Writing the SFE and GFE of the
circle(plate):
Formula for GFE if the center of the
(0, 0) circle is at the origin: x² + y² - r² = 0,
(-13, 0) (13, 0)
where r is radius. For this, we
simply need to substitute the value
of the radius of this circle which is
13 to the formula.
Solution:
x² + y² - r² = 0
x² + y² - 13² = 0
x² + y² - 169 = 0

Summary:

(-13, 0) (13, 0)
Radius: 13cm
Diameter: 26cm
SFE: x² + y² = 169
GFE: x² + y² - 169 = 0
