 What are your academic priorities for the next 3-4 years? e.g., MBA (which
specialization?)
 How do you plan to make the most of your academic experience? BBA & beyond
B. Career Choice / Chosen Career line (Post University goals)
 My chosen career line (Industry/Corporate, Business/entrepreneurship, Academia,
other). Area of specialization, type of business etc.
 What has influenced this career choice (for e.g, how will you make the world,
community a better place etc.)

APPLICABLE CAREER AND EMPLOYABILITY THEORIES


 Which career and critical employability theories should I consider when developing my
goals and how to achieve them?
 The theories and critical aspects of employability that have influenced your planning
(Note: Identify theories in the content and from the internet)
 How do your values influence your plans?
 What is your learning style and how has your identification of your learning style
affected how you study?
 Which kinds of corporate cultures will suit you, given your values?
 Which theories speak to you approach to your career? (Krumboltz's Planned
Happenstance theory, trait-and-factor career theory etc., critical employability theories)
 How will future projections on your chosen career affect your goal setting?
 And how do future projections on your chosen career in the near future will affect your
goal setting (These will include blockchains, Big Data, other cryptocurrencies, climate
change, UN SDGs, regulation of tech giants etc and how they affect will affect your
preparation for your chosen career).

 Which skills do I required for my goals to be achieved (think about the technical skills,
business skills, people skills and leadership skills that you require)?
 What are my skills gaps?
 What steps have I taken so far towards developing these skills?
 Which steps must I take going forward in order to garner these skills?
 How do I use the resources available to me (library, career services, tutors, mentors,
bosses, volunteer opportunities, work experience, etc) to fill these gaps?
 Which skills do you hope to develop from your academic work?
 Which skills do I required for my goals to be achieved (think about the technical skills,
business skills, people skills and leadership skills that you require)?

 Discuss the steps you have taken so far toward achieving the goals.
