HEIRARCHY OF THE CHURCH
1. Pope- is the bishop of Rome, vicar of Christ on earth, successor of Peter
and visible head of whole Church.

2. Cardinal- an honorary title given to a bishop and they elect the new pope.

3. Archbishops- rules more than one diocese/bishop.

4. Bishops- rules over the priests in diocese and give confirmation and Holy
orders.

5. Priest- assigned to take care of the parish.

6. Deacon- assist the bishop and the very first order received.
MONK – lives in monastery; follow a strict rule under a superior- like the
Benedictines and the Trappist, others are brothers.
