The importance of music in teenagers’ lives

Hi colleagues!
I’m going to talk to you about the importance of music in teenagers’ lives.
I’m almost sure you all love music the way I do the only difference being in the
different types of music.
Firstly, music has a significant influence on some of the biological, psychological, and
social factor that compose human nature.
Biological Effects
Music can be an evolved psychological mechanism as it seems to increase our fitness
for survival in terms of better mate selection, social cohesion, synchronised group
effort, motor skill development, conflict reduction, safe time passing, among many
others.

Psychological Effects
The psychology of music and emotions helps to better understand emotions as
synchronised responses, subjective to feeling, physiological response, expression,
action tendency and regulation to changes in the environment.
Social Effects
The power with which music stimulates and modulates interpersonal relationships in
social events, for example, concerts, sporting events, parties, dates, dances,
ceremonies, rallies, dinners and others) are referred to as a ‘social lubricant’ .

This is such a vast topic so I’m going to end off with one of the famous quotes by Bob
Marley. “One good thing about music, is when it hits you, you feel no pain!”
