About the STTP
The prime objective of this short-term training
programme (STTP) is to provide a platform for
acquiring knowledge of radio frequency (RF)
components and antennas through various
practical applications. It also provides exposure
towards the emerging technologies of designing
efficient microwave components and antennas in
industrial as well as military applications. The
participants will be exposed to fundamental
knowledge as well as recent advances of these RF
components from microwave to millimeter wave
frequency band through various industrial and
commercial applications. Session talks will be
delivered by eminent speakers from research
organizations like DRDO, ISRO, BEL etc. as well as
top academic institutions like IITs, IIITs, /NITs, etc.
As an outcome of the programme, the participants
will be able to indigenously develop RF
components/systems with recent technologies in
the area of telecom industry, defence industry and
space organizations.
Call for Research Conclave
STTP has also brought an exclusive session of
Research Conclave to promote the innovative
to present their research work for 10 min followed Veermata Jijabai
by queries/discussion for 3 min. All the presenters
will get the certification for their presentation in Technological Institute,
STTP. Best three presenters will get the token of

About VJTI
The Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI) was
established in 1887. In 1913, the Institute was
recognized by then Government of Bombay as the
Central Technological Institute, Bombay Province.
Since the time of inception, VJTI has been playing a
very vital role in producing quality engineers,
introducing new programmes, and electives in
emerging areas. In 1998, the Institute was renamed
from its old name Victoria Jubilee Technical Institute to
its present name Veermata Jijabai Technological
Institute.
Electrical Engineering Department was started in 1900
with introducing licentiate diploma program in
Electrical Engineering. Prof. P.K. Kelkar who was
founding Director of IIT Kanpur and planning officer of
IIT Bombay was the Head of the Electrical Department,
VJTI from 1943 to 1956. He was instrumental in
introducing UG and PG programs in Electrical
Engineering at VJTI.
The institute was granted financial and academic
autonomy from June 21, 2004. The Institute is reputed
for excellent training in Engineering and Technology at
Diploma, Degree, Post Graduate levels and Research.
Presently VJTI offers B. Tech programmes in nine core
disciplines of engineering, 17 M. Tech. programmes,
M.C.A. and Ph. D. programmes in various engineering
disciplines. The Institute is affiliated to University of
Mumbai. It was one of the institutes selected by the
Central Government for further development with
grant-in-aid from the Centre under Technical
Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP-I,
II and III).

Institutions, researchers and industry professionals
willing to do research in RF and electromagnetics areas
may attend the programme.

STTP will be conducted through an online interaction
platform. Registered Participants will be informed

About CoE-CNDS
VJTI is selected under TEQIP-III to scale up the activities of
Centre of Excellence (CoE) in "Complex and Nonlinear
Dynamical Systems (CNDS)" which was established under
TEQIP-II with a funding of Rs. 5 Crores by World Bank
through National Project Implementation Unit (NPIU),
MHRD, New Delhi. The main objective of the CoE CNDS is
to act as a focal point for the interdisciplinary research
into the theory of complex and nonlinear dynamical
systems and its applications across science and
engineering branches. Main areas and application
domains include complex power grid/smart grid
modelled as cyber-physical system (CPS), nonlinear
dynamics & transient stability of electrical pulse power &
plasma systems, hybrid energy management systems for
clean renewable energy & nonlinear vibration analysis.
