The school of engineering has 5 floors, out of which the ground floor is utilized by Vatel school
of hotel management for practical classes it mimics an actual hotel in aesthetics, with a unique
color pallet of calming grey and blue. First entering the school, the lounge in decorated in old
English style furnishing, a front desk follows the same color scheme of grey and blue with a wall
behind the desk with the logo of the school, the area is illuminated in a soft calming yellow
hues of light using a chandelier. It exudes a similar feel as an expensive and classy 5-star hotel.

To access upper floors stairs and elevators are provided at both ends of the building, the stairs
are not too steep, are spacious, easy to climb and adequately lit with natural light. The handrail
is made of wood, it is very smooth to the touch and well crafted. The steps are big to handle
people climbing up and coming down at the same time to save time for both sides.

On the 4th floor the auditorium is located near the stairs. The auditorium has sound proof walls
and have large speakers of good quality on each side. The stage is elevated, it has wooden
flooring. The seats are well cushioned and comfortable to sit in, it has the same shade of red as
the rest of the floors. The projector gives a good viewing experience, it is clearly visible
throughout and is not hard to set up as a presenter. Both entrance and exit are huge to
accommodate for more people entering and leaving the auditorium.
Classrooms are large, well ventilated and well-lit with combination of both natural and artificial
lighting. The benches are wide and comfortable to sit and study on. Each classroom has one
smart board and one white board. The equipment provided functions flawlessly which helps in
concentrating on the lecture

There are 2 lecture theaters on each floor. The layout is in a radial pattern with 3 sets of
benches. The back of the theater is made of glass. The room has desks on steps so students do
not block other students' line of sight seated in the back of the room. Every theater has podium
for the lecturer. The white board is not visible clearly when sitting on certain places due to
refection caused by the glass back. The theaters are not well ventilated due to lack of fans and
opening doors. The color scheme is peaceful and helps to focus.

The first floor is used by BCA students for their lectures, and occasionally used by BTech for
theory classes, although labs are frequented by both. The first floor has multiple labs two are
identical except for the orientation and the last one is used for cybersecurity. The other two are
used for other general computer programing purposes. The cyber security lab is smaller and has
less computes but have 2 computers per person.
The second floor is used for theory classes for the school of hotel management, psychology and
engineering. It has a lab of chemistry and lab of biology. The chemistry lab is smaller that first
expected and the fumes from the chemicals give off a strange scent to the lab and the area
surrounding it.

The third floor is only used by engineering students, it has the same structural layout as the rest
of the floors that were grouped together 3 labs, 2 lecture halls, 2 staff rooms, dean office,1
washroom for each gender and the rest are classrooms. Two of the labs are identical to that on
floor one. The third lab is the IoT lab this lab has projects and posters made by previous
students which encourages students currently studying to make projects, it also helps them feel
motivated.

All of this combine gives a good sense of balance to the school the halls are lit with natural light
while the labs always have the curtains drawn and all the lights in the room are on, while in the
classrooms both natural and artificial lights are used, this exudes a sense of balance. The
building is also symmetrical which adds to the balance part form before. The mood is nice in the
entire school as most of the furniture is made of wood and the color palate is warm, noticing
the posters and previous student achievements give a sense of friendly challenge to go beyond
the students who came before. The art work on the walls contrast with the bland classrooms
which give a lively feel after exiting a classroom. The overall mood is calm, peaceful and
competitive.
