Weapon Types, Enemy Types, and Hazards

Enemies:

Soviet Grunt

Soviet grunts are the most common enemy within the game and are the easiest to defeat. Groups

of enemies will often be supplemented with this enemy type. Grunts carry either the PPSH-41

Submachine Gun or the Makarov Pistol.

Soviet Assault Soldier

Soviet Assault troops are the second most common enemy within the game. Soviet grunts and

assault troops make up the bulk of the compositions of most clusters or groups of enemies.

Assault troops are not quite as easy to defeat as grunts, owing to their increased health and to the

fact that they carry either the Ak-47 Assault Rifle or the KS-23 Shotgun. This makes the assault

enemy type quite lethal at close to medium ranges.

Soviet Heavy Soldier

Soviet Heavy troops are rarer than grunts or assault troops, as any given cluster of enemies will

only contain two or three of these types of enemies for purposes of game balancing. These

enemies can be difficult to kill as they have the second largest amount of health out of any

enemy type in the game, behind only the Soviet Officers. As their name suggests, they carry

heavy weapons, which can easily kill the player. Heavy troops are armed with either the RPK

Light Machine Gun or the Rocket Propelled Grenade Launcher.

Soviet Sniper

Similar to the Soviet Heavy Troops, the Soviet Sniper is also a rare enemy, as each cluster of

enemies will only contain one or two of them. Their health is about the same as the Assault

Troops, but this enemy type is not so easy to eliminate as snipers are equipped with the SVD

Dragunov Sniper Rifle. Players will need to watch out for this enemy type when approaching

clusters of enemies, as this enemy type can easily kill the player in only one shot.

Soviet Officer

Soviet Officers function as a sort of mini-boss within the game. These enemies are the rarest, as

only one of them will appear per level. Since these types of enemies are meant to function as

more of a boss encounter, they have the largest amount of health and are very tough to take

down. Additionally, they are not limited to only one or two weapons but instead have access to

all seven soviet weapons in the game. This means the player will need to be paying attention as

the officers can use a variety of tactics against the player.

Makarov Pistol

The Makarov Pistol is a Soviet handgun with average ammo capacity and a low amount of

recoil. It deals a smaller-than-average amount of damage to targets and is most effective at close

range.

PPSH-41 Submachine Gun

The PPSH-41 is a soviet Submachine Gun with a higher-than-average ammo capacity and a high

amount of recoil. It deals between an average and an above-average amount of damage to

targets and is most effective at close and medium ranges.

Ak-47 Assault Rifle

The AK-47 is a Soviet Assault Rifle with a high ammo capacity and a medium amount of recoil.

It deals a vastly above-average amount of damage to targets and is most effective at close and

medium ranges.

KS-23 Shotgun

The KS-23 is a Soviet Shotgun with a low ammo capacity and a medium amount of recoil. It is

capable of dealing very large amounts of damage to targets and is most effective at close range.

RPK Light Machine Gun

The RPK is a Soviet Light Machine Gun with a very high ammo capacity and a large amount of

recoil. It is capable of dealing very large amounts of damage to targets and is most effective at

close and medium ranges.

SVD Dragunov Sniper Rifle

The SVD Dragunov is a Soviet Sniper Rifle with a low ammo capacity and a small amount of

recoil. It is capable of dealing very large amounts of damage to targets and is most effective at

long range.

RPG Launcher

The RPG is a Soviet Rocket Launcher with a low ammo capacity and no recoil. It can deal

massive amounts of damage to targets, has a medium blast radius, and is most effective at

medium and long ranges.

American Weapons

M1911 Pistol

The M1911 Pistol is an American handgun with average ammo capacity and a low amount of

recoil. It deals a smaller-than-average amount of damage to targets and is most effective at close

range.

M50 Reising Submachine Gun

The M50 Reising is an American Submachine Gun with a higher-than-average ammo capacity

and a high amount of recoil. It deals between an average and an above-average amount of

damage to targets and is most effective at close and medium ranges.

M16 Assault Rifle

The M16 is an American Assault Rifle with a high ammo capacity and a medium amount of

recoil. It deals a vastly above-average amount of damage to targets and is most effective at close

and medium ranges.

Ithaca 37 Shotgun

The Ithaca 37 is an American Shotgun with a low ammo capacity and a medium amount of

recoil. It is capable of dealing very large amounts of damage to targets and is most effective at

close range.

M60 Machine Gun

The M60 is an American Machine Gun with a very high ammo capacity and a large amount of

recoil. It is capable of dealing very large amounts of damage to targets and is most effective at

close and medium ranges.

M40 Sniper Rifle

The M40 is an American Sniper Rifle with a low ammo capacity and a small amount of recoil. It

is capable of dealing very large amounts of damage to targets and is most effective at long range.

M72 Law Rocket Launcher

The M72 LAW is an American Rocket Launcher with a low ammo capacity and no recoil. It can

deal massive amounts of damage to targets, has a medium blast radius, and is most effective at

medium and long ranges.

Hazards

Spike Traps

While on missions taking place in jungle areas, players will need to watch out for camouflaged

trap doors which easily break, causing the victim to fall into groups of underground spikes. If

the player comes into contact with one of these traps, they will be killed instantly.

Bouncing Betties

While outside, players will need to look out for “Bouncing Betty” landmines, which have three

camouflaged prongs that when stepped on, cause the mine to shoot up and explode. Players will

need to use a metal detector to sweep for these devices, because if the player triggers one of

these mines, they will have no time to get away from the blast radius and will be killed instantly.

Napalm Strikes

Over the course of the game, players will encounter napalm strikes. The player might be in an

area where napalm is being dropped, or they might enter an area where napalm has already been

dropped recently. In either case, if the player comes into contact with napalm, they will not be

killed instantly, but instead, take damage over time.
