(Free) Proficiency
Like the blue-eyed samurai, you found an old book serving as a guide for using two weapon types. You are now pro
ficient in two types of weapon of your choosing and while you are not a master in using them, it is more than enoug
h for most fight. You are not limited by the type of weapons found in those lands, althought it would be quite the tas
k to find a rapier or a zweihander in Japan.

(Free)- Living Weapon


A technique consisting of making your Guardian Spirit fusing with your weapon.
In this state, your weapon take the element of your spirits, said usage of this element is boosted, you and your attack
s are more powerful, and the ability to temporaly summon your Guardian Spirit to help you. At first, it's all you will
be able to do, but with more and more uses, you will be incorporate this state into your fighting style like many war
riors in Japan does, elemental dashes, slashbeams, bullet and arrows, even jumping, it's all up to you and your imagi
nation. If you were to have two Guardian Spirits at your sides, you could swap the two mode so to speak. Of course,
you would actually need to actually have a Guardian Spirit to use Living Weapon.
Do keep note that Living Weapon isn't eternal, and you or your weapon taking enough damage will dispel it.

(100) Item Familiarity


Enhance equipments the more you uses them.
In Japan, it is a common belief that all things possess a soul, living or not. From now on, a connection can be made
with any items you uses, with them growing stronger in your hands the more you uses them, up to having all it's char
acteristics being doubled when fully familiar to you. A rusted old thing could become useful when fully connected, t
hink of what an item of legend could be.

(100) Ki Pulse
Ki or Chi, the source of life, everyone has access to it. By 'activating' this lifeforce... breathing... whatever, after cert
ain actions, such as an attack, a change of stance or your guard being broken, you can recuperate Ki faster and purify
zones of spiritual polutions, or gain a surge of strength. This is called a Ki Pulse. it's a shame most people won't bot
her using it, more busy fighting the classic way and staying alive. This perk is there for that. You now possess a qua
si-automatic way to uses Ki Pulse, or any uses of internal force, as if you used it all of your life, with it, battles will
be easier and faster.

(200) Lock of Hair


Since ancient times, it is said that hair of the deceased harbour mystical power. You can now 'bless' hair you have ta
ken from a deceased into a single lock. There are two uses for this. Firstly, you may keep them on your person to ma
ke yourself stronger and luckier, as if a god was protecting you. Having multiple locks of hair of one or multiple dec
eased persons on yourself will not work, only the 'better lock' will have effect.
Secondly, you could also 'use' by crushing it your hand to gain a slight boost in the skill the ancient hair's owner was
the most proficient. Said gain being proportional to the age and experience of the deceased. The gain aren't all that g
reat initialy, but stockpiling a few would them would make them signifiant.
By purchasing this, you will instinctly know what the lock of hair you 'blessed' will be good for.

(200) Bloody Graves and Benevolent Graves


Do you see it? This weapon with an aura of red or blue surrounding it? Thoses are called Graves, the place a person
died in battle recently. You can now see them. But putting your hand on the weapon, you can 'summon', a Revenant,
and a very, very ugly one at that. They can't speak, but it's attitute toward you depends on the color of the aura surro
unding the grave, if it's red, it will attack you, if it's blue, it will instead help and fight for you.
The good thing with fighting Red Revenants is that they drop their possessions upon dying a second time. Sadly, yo
u can use a grave only once.

(300) Shiftling
You are not completely human, in fact, you are half-youkai, as such you are stronger and faster than normal humans,
you also have two abilities, the first is Yokai Shift, by allowing your Guardian Spirit to 'possess' you, not so dissimi
lar to Living Weapon, you are able to transform into a human-Yokai. The shape you take depends of the Guardian S
pirit you fused with.
The other power, no less good, the ability to absorbs into you Souls Core from yokai or monsters you slayed, allowi
ng you to use attacks associated to them, or sometime even summoning their physical form to your aids for a few m
oments, draining a bit of vitality from hurting or killing your foes, Futhermore, as Yokai, Youkai Realms or other tr
oublesome zones doesn't weaken you as much as they should, thanks to your non humans origins.
Like Living Weapon, Yokai Shift isn't eternal, unlike Living Weapon, you can use it in short burst, a Oni-like form
would make you stronger and make it easier to stagger ennemies, a animal-based faster and suddenly acting immedi
atly, a tengu one to attack at distances would allow you to use those to teleport, what would your form be?
Do try to not parade those talents of yours too much, at least, not to the wrong people.

*Instead of melee weapons, you can also choose a firearm or a bow.


**Most bosses can do much more than what William do with LM. Swordbearms, thunder arrows, fireball bullets, gli
de, the list is long.

****Normally, the skill point you gain in game are fairly high and not tied to age, but I really don't to make it easy f
or people that wanna go genocide route. I could also make it harder and longer to make them 'ritually', but that'd be s
tupid, it's a lock of hair, not a katana folded thousand of times. So both experience and age are a thing.
****=I have no idea how to put the Amrita Gauge into it, so I'll ignore it.
*****Virtually, I'm making the Yokai forms you can take open ended, you normally have only three in Nioh 2, as it'
s the number of elements that are in game now, unlike Nioh 1, who had like five.

-Samurai
100- Way of the Samurai
Being the child of a samurai was harsh, familiar love was scarce, the training and expectations placed upon you were
heavy, but you came all the more stronger from it. As a full fledged samurai, you were trained in the use of most we
apons, stances, armors, as well as tactics and war, obviously, you are better at using your chosen type of weapon, but
not having it won't be as much of a bother.

100- Relentless and Fortitude


You are quite the sturdy man... woman... person... thing. Your Ki? Flowing through you easily like a beautiful river i
n the forest. Your body? Toned, hard and a bit more difficult to injure, hits that would put lesser men to the ground
would 'merely' injure you. It's a tiny blessing, but a practical one.
For 100cp you are even more sturdier, running in heavy armor would be in the realm of possibilities, for another 100
, another step beyond to the point of it being seemingly supernatural, you could survive a shot in the head easily.

200- Cornered Animal


When an animal is cornered it fight the hardest since it has nothing to lose. You or your body at least, seems to have
implemented this saying with hot iron. As long as you're tired and near death, you gain the force of despair, your stri
kes hits harder, your body, though as nails, This doesn't make you invincible, but it does help you in the hope to live
another day.

200- Inner Light


Massively boosts the damage you deal when in the Yokai Realm
Being in hostile environment is dangerous. For your ennemies that is. You have gained the strange ability to make s
o that any supernatural territory that is designed to weaken you, like the infamous Youkai Realm, to make you and y
our arms much stronger, as if you became a metaphorical light to counter this darkness. Take note this strenghen yo
ur attacks, not your defenses or vitality. You are still human on that part.

400- Momentum and Firm Resolve


You seem to have taken another lesson to heart, 'The best attack is the best defence'. When you land a strike, you be
come harder to hurt and harder to tire as if you were empowered by a form of rage. Now the funny thing is that, thos
e benefits become better as long as you continue to attack. It is a dangerous technique, but when you are cornered...

400- Defence Arts


I don't know how someone could pick up a skill like this but here it is, as long as you are even remotely in guard, att
acks in any form, you are not only less painful or prone to injuries, but you also know how to parry or deflect them, i
t's as if your arms and body knew how to place themselves for you. Normal attacks are fine and dandy, but a canonb
all shot in your face will result in you being being blown away... unless you are strong enough to do that?

600- Re Awakening

100- Way of the Ninja
You trained all your early life, either for a lord, for your clan, or for yourself, to be a ninja. You are now an adept at
preparing and using jutsus, fighting with your choosen weapon and finally, hiding, spying, disapearing in the shado
ws. With more training, you could do so much more.
You also possess the strange ability to hide things on yourself that you shouldn't be able to, from a cute cat in your a
rmor or a bombs that is almost as big as you.

100- Anti-toxin
Being a Ninja is a difficult job. You travel at night, stay awake for hours, have a cat inside your jacket to know the h
our, and in this case, play with sharp tools coated in dangerous substance, this is probably why you now have a great
er resistance to both poison and paralysis than the normal person. Do try to not actually drink those toxin, you are re
sistant, not immune.
For 50cp, you can choose to be completly immune to one, for another 50cp, both.

200- Permanent Jutsu


Preparation is key, and yet it is oh so very irritating to prepare all over again all the time when you want to do somet
hing different. How fortunate this perk exist. You can choose one known beneficial Jutsu, and activate and desactiva
te it at will at no cost. If you regret your choice, do not worry, you can merely choose another one once per day.

200- Enlightenment
Allows you to perform Ninjutsu on yourself faster, and extends duration of its beneficial effects
During your training as a ninja, you hit a wall, not the kind that stop you from making progress fortunately. But the
kind that made you understand you reached the peak of a mountain. From now, you are a true master of all jutsus an
d is able to prepare and use them with... well, a facility only a master can have. Not only are you able to use jutsus m
uch faster, but their powers are more potent and last just as much.

400- Shadow Art


Some people would claim that a Ninja's true worth is in the shadow, they would be wrong, their strength lie in their
versability: you are now able to use and create Onmyo-like jutsus that summons the elements, destroying your enne
mies will and flesh, similar to the Shadow Arts and Flame Dragon drop.
--Or Backstabing
Do you know what hurt more than being stabbed in the back by someone you didn't see? Being stabbed in the back b
y someone you didn't see with this perk. Everyone and everything you hurt in the back find themselves more injured
that they should've been It's as if you're entire being was an incarnation of hurting people's back.
--Undetected
As long as you're undetected, every actions you take will be much more effective. An attack in the back woul

400- Concealment
During your career you threw many, many, many things, it would have been worrying if it wasn't part of your job.
Ranged weapons of all kinds, such as shurikens, kunai, arrows, bombs, even poop, as long as you can throw it, are m
uch stronger and dealt much more damage in your hands. As an added bonus, your accuracy is greatly increased.

600 - Hanzo The Oni


Ninjas are often weak when it come to the physical side of things, this isn't your case. Your physical capacity are bo
osted, you fight like an oni, you hit fast, hard, each of your strikes are calculated and break lesser men.
Your greater power however, is the ability to transformat will into a giant animal youkai, with all the benifits grante
d to it and the ability to create Youkai Realms to disrupt weaker opponents. It can be a toad, a snake, a slug, a wolf,
a monkey everything goes. Strangely, your weapons and armor won't break and in fact changes according to your siz
e, if you can use them that is, in which case, you can just send them into an imaginary inventory just for the occasion
. Isn't it nice?

*There is no difference between Enlightenment (the Ninjutsu Perk) and Amplification (The Onmyo Perk), while thei
r effects and durations in game are supposed to be boosted only for onmyo/jutsu targetting yourself, I decided to to
make them a dumb 'Boost all kek'. Yes, they stack. That's why they're 'only' 200cp each.
**Think of Permanent Jutsu as a 'Always activated skill' perk.
***In spite of being in the Ninja perkline, Hanzo The Oni can be taken and discounted for every origin.
****Look at the captstone as 'You're strong, plus this cool effect'

-Onmyo
100- Way of Onmyo
The Way of Yin and Yang, a form of cosmology magic based arround harnessing the balance of the universe to pow
er your magic. This is complicated to explain. How wonderful you studied it in my place. You are an adept at castin
g spells, creating and preparing ofudas/talismans for a lot, and I mean a lot, of purposes, you are also quite good wit
h your weapon of choice, after all what would happend if you used up all your spells?

100- Elementbreaker
Being an Onmyo, you tends to be close to the elements, so close in fact that they now seem to like you. You now ha
ve a slight resistance to all and any elemental attacks, but they now seems to be determined to try to not bother you a
s much, fire won't lick you or hurt for long, water will not slow you down, wind will not push you as hard.
Do keep in mind this isn't an immunity to injuries or pain, the lightning of a thunderstorm might not fry you as much
, but this is still lightning that hit and traverse your body. Hardly pleasant.
For 100cp, you can decide to push the resistance a bit further, enough to make difference, that lightning won't hurt a
s much anymore.

200- Decree
A decree of what you may ask? Perhaps over reality. Beneficial effects you cast gain an area of effect, and if they alr
eady had one, have a bigger one. May be toggled off at will, it just wouldn't do if were to heal the wrong person wou
ld it?

200- Permanent Spell


Casting the same spell again and again is very tiresome, wasteful and dangerous in a fight, you can choose one know
n offensive ailment spell, and choose to make it permanent on a target, granted that it actually land. Only one spell c
an be made permanent and only one target. You can dispell the spell at will, and change what spell you want to mak
e permanent once per day.

400- Amplification
Extends the duration and power of Onmyo Magic by 50%
Truly you must be talented, or the elements are really fonds of you. Not only does the effect of your offensive spells
are extended, but so are their powers. It's a pretty simple but useful perk.

400- Awakening
Congratulation, it seems that you barely need hands to cast spells anymore, you do not need handsight and incantatio
n anymore, a talisman and a fast, simple wave of your hand is all you need to cast a spell. As an added bonus, benifi
cial effetcs you cast upon yourself last longer.

600- Yokai Familiar


Like many Onmyoji, you can uses Shikigami as familiars, but After a bit of concentration, you can channel natural e
nergy to summon a huge yokai of great power, one that is fully loyal to you. The type and element of the yokai depe
nds of the place and climate it was summoned. As an added bonus, you gain a boost depending of the youkai. A thu
nder youkai would boost your thunder spells and resistance, a physical, your physical prowress and resistance, etc.
You could even go a bit further by fusing the energy channeled with a Guardian Spirit, creating a much stronger yok
ai and bypassing the need of a place and climate.

100- Traveling Proficiency
You traveled far and it shows. Be it on water, on ground, on montain, mayhaps even in the very sky, you are good at
knowing how to go where you want to go. You virtually have a map and a compass in your head. No matter what h
appen, you are able to where you want to go. As an added bonus, you know how to use a boat perfectly.

200- You will go to Japan


Being a foreigner is difficult, people look at you strangely, maybe hating you on sight, not anymore. People from an
y country you are a foreigner will look at you at person first and foremost no matter the race or gender, they will be
quick to accept you. As an added bonus, the upper echelon might even find you some work for you to do if you have
the skills.

400 Take this, this sword want you to wield it


It is only natural that you get rewarded after a service no? Well, from now on, you will find that people much more
willing to give another, better reward along with the promised coin. It might a katana that has been in a familty for s
everal generations, training in obscure and mystic arts, magical gems, it could be everything previous.
As an added bonus items that have a conscience are much willing to be wielded by you, in fact, it might have played
a part as to why it's part of your reward in the first place.

100 -Nobunaga's Ambition
You have a drive in you, ambitions that burn like the sun itself. What those could be, only you know. But this deter
mination, gives you two blessing, first and foremost, you are a true example of class, nobility, dignity, and calm. odd
quirks or not, secondly, you are utterly immune to any sort of mind control or corruption, your life, your soul, your
body, those are all yours and no one else. Someone wanting to use you to their own ends would be in quite a surpris
e.

200 -Fool of Owari


You have some hobbies and odd quirks, there's nothing wrong with it of course, but some hobbies are much more pe
culiar than others, be it a small silly dance or a Nioh Dance in the middle of various people of influence.
From now on, people will find those as something almost... normal, but if what you are doing is good, grandiose eno
ugh, and your just as much prepare so see people, not only respect you, but wish to see more of what you do, drawin
g respect, admiration and intrigue from both subjects and ennemies alike. If you were to give some food or sake, you
would quickly become popular!
As an added bonus, you are an adept at many, many arts, paiting, tea ceremony, sculping, painting, theater, writing...
you only need to work on those and instinctly know if the final product so to speak of what you created is good or n
o.

400 -The Great Unifier


You are one of a kind my friend. Your charisma is off the chart. Your mere presence is enough to lift the moral of y
our friends and followers, while frightening your foes. Those who follow you, fight for you, are stronger, smarter, st
urdier, and are immune to all type of corruption. Bribes? Refused. Poisons? Still painful and lethal, but much easier t
o cure and slower to kill. Stones that turn them into monster? Those 'monsters' are still your men, and they'll be dam
ned if they fought you or their comrades. such is their loyalty to you and your ambitions. If you were to be incapacit
ated or worse, dead, your closest followers would dedicate their entire lives to finish your work in your name, witho
ut it being corrupted or twisted.

*It stand to reason that if you want your subjects to continue to love you, you shouldn't push them that far. Do try to
not make too much of an habit of shooting your subjects hmm?

-Peddler
100- Merchant Expertise
Being merchant, or peddler, or con, is hard. Not to you anymore, you now a basic but strong understanding of econo
my logistics, to know the price of various products, where to find them, naturaly or in the market, why, and how to t
ake advantage of if you intend to sell it. You are also very good at math to help you with this! Now for transporting t
hings, that's another issue.

200- You don't have to fight


You are quite eloquent, enough to showcase your goods without much problem, but it's not all eloquence is about. S
ometime, people fight for the stupidest reasons, how good it is that you are here! You are able to make, up to a small
group of people, calm down, talk a bit and make them realize that fighting could be a bad idea, after all, they didn't
hurt each others did they? They're not really different from each others. Some issues does run deep, and they might b
e a bit grumpy at first, but with time and good faith, a strong friendship would be created, all thanks to a little pep tal
k.
Don't expect it to work for anything other than stupid things: genuine actions made to hurt are much harder to forget,
you could try, depending on how things are, it could be easy, but it could also be difficult.

400- The Tokichiro Way


Yokais are dangerous and not necessary in their right mind, unlike you, and so you possess the ability to use Spirit S
tone to pacify them, transforming them from Aratama, Savage Spirits, into Nigitama, Gentle Spirits, that are much
more open to discussion and helping, especially to you, the person who cleared up their mind. No killing needed! Th
is also work on other types of monster outside of jump. As an added bonus, monsters and animals are more taken by
you.
In case you're wondering, the telltale signs of a creature being more 'tame' is their eyes, going from red to blue, for y
okais at least.
