AFFIDAVIT OF ARRESTING OFFICER

I, PCpl. Sandro Corpuz Ricarte, of legal age, married, member of the Philippine National Police
based at Lucban Municipal Police Station Lucban, Quezon after having been sworn to in accordance with
the law do hereby deposes and says:

1. I was on duty at the police station on January 28, 2021, with our chief PCpt. FERDINAND
GRANADEL LAUREL, and the other officers of the station. Due to the reports and
information we have received, we intend to start an anti-gambling operation.

2. We wrote to our desk officer at 10:15 a.m. that day to carry out our operation. In our
private vehicle, we immediately headed to Sampalocan, Lucban, Quezon. The individual
we're seeking for is 5'2 inches tall, of average build, with short hair and a denim bag.

3. We met a man who fit what we were seeking for the same day we arrived at that location
at exactly 10:30 a.m.

4. I, PCpl. Sandro Corpuz Ricarte, exited our vehicle and approached the man, asking if he
was an STL Agent. He confirmed that he was an STL Agent and asked if I want to gamble. I
told him to list 30/33.

5. I PCpl. Sandro Corpuz Recarte is still reported to police because he is indeed an STL Agent.
When I questioned if he had the proper paperwork for what he was doing, he offered no
proof. I arrested him and recited his constitutional rights to him while my other comrades
left our car because he couldn't present documents.

6. The suspect who was arrested was brought to the Lucban Municipal Police Station. Vic
Sotto, the suspect, was born on March 14, 1996, is 24 years old, single, and unemployed,
and lives in Sampaloc, Lucban, Quezon.
 7. The ones I confiscated from him were as follows: one piece household, one piece ballpen,
one piece denim bag, two pieces lasttilas and six hundred eleven pesos.

8. Our duty investigation requested Quezon enhance technology system, inc (BETS) at the
main office to verify if Vic Sotto was on the list of STL Agents after I confiscated the
equipment.

9. Our duty investigation requested a physical/ medical examination for Vic Sotto.

10. I am executing this affidavit freely and voluntarily as I attest to the truthfulness and
veracity of the above-mentioned facts.
