Certifications
The IIBA’s certification program is designed to be valuable
to business analysts and to their employers
Level 1
Recognizes individuals entering the field of business
analysis.
Level 2
Recognizes BA professionals who have 2-3 years of
experience.
Level 3
Recognizes BA professionals who lead and have over 5
years of BA experience.
Level 4
Recognizes BA professionals who advance the BA
profession and have over 10 years of experience.
ECBA® Certification
BA work experience no required.
No references required
Knowled-based examination
Taking the ECBA™ Exam, 50 questions, 1.5 hours
Application expiry = 1 year from approval
Number of Exams = 3 within 1 year –no wait time in
between required
CCBA® Certification
Minimum 3750 hours of BA work experience aligned with the BABOK®
Guide in the last 7 years(*).
Scenario-based examination
Taking the CCBA™ Exam, 130 questions, 3 hours
Application expiry = 1 year from approval
Number of Exams = 3 within 1 year –no wait time in
between required
CBAP® Certification
Minimum 7500 hours of BA work experience aligned with the BABOK® Guide in
the last 10 years (*)
