Explanation of 9-steps model

Explain the 9-steps model in your own words and provide examples of your
learning-what are the skills do you need to have in each stage

Notes: Students must articulate the 9-steps model, developed by Dr. Bozward and Dr. Draycott in
2017, in their own words. They should explain the skills necessary for each step to foster their future
entrepreneurship and substantiate their understanding with examples to demonstrate their learning

Guidelines for Video 1/Video 2/Video 3

Discussion on the case study video, which of the 9-stages is the person at? What do they
need to do to move to the next stage? Explain your reasons.
What have you learnt from the video?

Notes:
 Students are tasked with discussing a case study video, focusing on aspects such as the brief background the business,
customers’ demographic profile, the business's strengths, marketing strategies employed, Unique Selling Points (USP),
customer service approach, and pricing strategy.
 students are required to apply the 9-steps model to the entrepreneurs featured in the case study. This involves identifying which
stage of the 9-steps model of entrepreneur is currently at, discussing what they need to progress to the next stage, and
providing reasoning for this progression. Furthermore, students should reflect on their own business (or a hypothetical future
business if they do not currently own one), relating it to each stage of the 9-steps model. They should also identify the skills
they have acquired from this module and the skills they need for each stage to enrich their future entrepreneurial journey as
learning reflections-
Learning Reflections
Learning from M4 module, knowledge on 9-steps model, and learning
from the case study video and how this will inform your entrepreneurial
practice.
