ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITY:

Supplier Quality
1.Prepare Inspection Requirement for Static, Rotary, Piping and Electrical
items based on Tech specificationa and Code Requirement
2.Atleast ASNT Level-II certification in RT/UT/MP/DP
3.Preferred-Welding Inspector/Engineer Certification -CSWIP /AWS
4.Able to conduct Pre-Fabrication meeting with Supplier Independently
5.Audit Supplier credentials and Prepare Report
6.Review supplier Quality control plan, NDT procedures, Welding procedures,
Heat Treatment Procedures and other testing procedures.
7.Shall be very through with review of welding procedures wrt ASME Sec IX &
AWS D1.1
8.Should be familiar with ASME Sec VIII Div 1/Sec IX/Sec V/Sec II/API
610/AWS D1.1/API RP 582
9.Expereince hadling metallurgy like CS,SS,LAS,Duplex,etc
10.Well versed with different Welding Processes and respective essential and
Non-essential Variables
11.Stage wise and Final inspection at supplier location ( local as well as
foreign supplier) as per approved QCP & project sepcification for
Static(Pressure vessels, Heat Exchnagers, Columns, etc),
Rotary(Pumps/Compressors,etc), Piping Items(Valve,Flanges, Fittings,
pipes ,etc) & Electrical Items (Transformer, Tubular Poles, Control Panel,etc)
12.Independently handle Supplier Quality Assignment
13. Able to issue NCR and well versed with NCR HANDLING
14.Prepare Inspection Report and Final Inspection Release
Expediting
1.Well versed with Manufacturing sequence for Fabricated and Rotary
Equipments
2.Knowledge of Long lead Items and crtical process in equipment Fabrication
3.Will be responsible to expedite supplier for project material and supplier
document for Rotating equipment, Static Equipments,Piping Material,Electrical
& Instrumentation Items for local as well as foreign suppliers.
4.Independetly handle Expedting assignment including visiting supplier
4.Conduct time to time meeting with Supplier ,Engg discipline,Client
necessary to meet supplier contactual Delivery date & highlight key
issues ,etc

 Perform Inspection activities on process unit equipment piping, columns, pressure vessels,
heat exchangers, boilers and storage tanks entails corrosion engineering, and developing
inspection plans, maintain/update equipment inspection records and issue reports as
required for the enhancement of their integrity.
 Inspect and review Quality Certificates pertaining different application of different equipment
as per international standards. 
 Perform static equipment thickness calculation and evaluation, Heater, Heat Exchangers
tube, tank & vessel shells strength calculations and evaluation in accordance with API codes.
 Prepare annual inspection plan for piping and static equipment.
 Supervise inspectors and NDT technicians as well as review their reports and evaluate their
performance.
 Prepare inspection scope for static equipment during normal maintenance activity and
turnaround.
 Participate in shutdowns, issue recommendations for ensuring the integrity of all equipment
and piping, monitor the implementation of the recommendations and forecast the materials
required for the next shutdown.
 Inspect and review Relief valve / Pressure Relief Valve set pressure testing, thickness
measurement, MPI and RT reports 
 Develop inspection monitoring plans based on the identified damage mechanisms of a
process unit and previous findings. 
 Ensuring that the requirements of company standards, repair procedures and guidelines are
followed 
 Issue, review, and develop inspection procedures such as piping inspection procedure, NDT
procedure and welding procedure, specification as per international standards and codes. 
 Review and assess equipment status to provide effective assurance against unexpected
failures and leaks that can jeopardize safety and production by reviewing and analysing
PHA/HAZOP reports and previous reported findings. 
 Participate in incident investigations and failure analysis reviews related to the mechanical
integrity of static equipment and identify the weakness in the procedures, systems and
recommends long-term remedy solutions.
 Provides on-job training to subordinates to develop their skills to perform their duties in most
safe and efficient manner.
