The mandatory requirement to procure Signalling & Telecom items

through stores issued vide letters referred above, has been reviewed by the
Board in reference to representations received from various zonal railways for
signalling projects.
It has now been decided that in order to fast track projects, S&T
material can be procured in works contract also, through open & competitive
bidding. For the purpose, Zonal Railways should frame modalities with the
approval of PCSTE.

This is issued with the approval of Board.
