In terms of interpersonal skills, Yes I have the ability to connect with people because I’m an
emphatic person and sometimes I’m having difficulty suppressing my emotions. I get easily
persuaded by other people without thinking about the consequences especially having to say
“No”. One way to address this gap is I have to assess and evaluate myself, especially in
decision-making. I will also read some mental powerful books by famous people like Stephen
Covey and Mark Manson to help me and inspire me to do better.

In terms of good communication skills, as stated I’m not that good in English specifically
articulating my words, I’m having difficulties constructing my sentences orally which led me to a
disadvantage because as a Training and Development Manager you should know how to
communicate effectively in languages, especially in English as this is our universal language. To
fill this gap, I will make a double effort to read and watch videos of tips and tutorials to help
myself to be better at it. I will also practice my English by communicating with other people using
English and asking for advice from them.

In terms of technical skills, one of the requirements is “Adept with a variety of multimedia
training platforms and methods”. Even though I know the basics of some of it, I still lack it. I still
have to train myself even better because in the future I will spend more time facing the
computer while doing my tasks so I have to be proficient in using timesaving techniques in
multimedia platforms and methods. I will also invest in learning materials to be better prepared.

In terms of unique ways how to deal with problems, sometimes in my decision-making, I tend to
think complexly and because of that, I’m having a hard time coming up with a solution. Even
though I already have that “idea”, It’s so hard for me to explain it well to others especially
presenting a report. To address this gap, I will try my best to articulate my words well and I will
practice until I’ll get it right and perfect.

In terms of leadership experience, I already experience actual and virtual leadership training.
But my credentials right now are still inadequate. To address this gap I will accept opportunities
like coming webinars or on-site programs to gain certificates and awards. I will also try my best
to have the (CPLP), (SHRM-CP), (SHRM-SCP), (MBA) and other high and efficient credentials.
