Garcia Paulo, L.

The Republic Act 1425 known as Rizal Law is a mandatory subject, which both public and
private must understand and explore the importance of our National History.

History is very essential as we, people who live in present. It serve as our identity, lifestyle,
story, and framework of everyone’s lives.

As they mandate to teach the subject in both public and private schools, it gives honor to the
heroes of our nation especially our National Hero Dr. Jose Rizal.

The Educational System must include the legislative documents, both written and verbal
works of Dr. Jose Rizal to inculcate the youth the importance of freedom and nationalism.

As a student, one of the importance of it is to mold and sharpen the National Characteristics
of every Filipino. Our identity serves as our way to easily emphasize stories, past events and how will
others recognize us.

Establishing the essence of Patriotism and Nationalism, and loving our country is the first
step in order to have a well-developed country, have a harmonious and peaceful life.

It also teaches us to awake in everything, since today globalization is very important, heroes
awaken us not to be a fool and easily get. We should be the ones who’s ruling ourselves.

Give an attribute to the bravery of our heroes as they sacrifice their own life for the freedom
of our country and countrymen.

I am aware that discussing history can be a little tedious because there are so many dates,
names, and events that are difficult for us to recall because we haven't actually encountered or
experienced these people or events.

On the other hand, I think that this law made it more interesting by including the novels,
other works, and the life story of Rizal because these subjects have hidden meanings in relation to
their creation, to society (past, present, and future), and to the life story of the man with a great
mind who expressed his thoughts and fought for our nationality through his writings until his death.

According to Dr. Jose Rizal, our National Hero, “Kabataan ang Pag-asa ng Bayan”, be an eye
opener to others, and teach them how to love and empower ourselves and our country. Freed
ourselves and don’t let our heroes’ sacrifices turn into ashes. They are not just ordinary people who
fought for nothing. We should embrace and appreciate their efforts.

As we people live in the present, we should be the one who needs to continue the history
that we have. As a youth, we have to use ourselves as a role models to others.

In conclusion, Rizal Law offered us the opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices made by our
national hero and reignite the flame of nationalism that is currently slowly dying.

Instill the actual meaning of nationalism in everyone's consciousness, especially the younger
generation.
