Business Overview:

This role is in Monitoring transformation team which is a part of Operational Excellence business unit.
The Monitoring transformation team is responsible for creating end to end solution for performing
testing and driving controls across GSG processes. The candidate will support the team to execute
transformation across all GSG functional areas for regulatory and procedure adherence utilizing MIS
reporting, analytics, and enhanced capabilities. The candidate will work familiarize himself/herself
across multiple processes that drive AMEX, understand regulations and internal procedures governing
these processes, and collaborate with various stakeholders across the globe to build end -to-end risk
and governance controls. The role is highly collaborative in nature, and the candidate is ex pected to
work with diverse teams - Operations, Compliance, GSG Capabilities and other key stakeholders to
ensure requirements are met on all projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Independently performs deep RCAs, generates actionable insights and where applicable,
identifies new data driven opportunities for the business
• Collect, organize, and model data to identify trends and design solutions

• Participate in brainstorming sessions to identify compliance, policy, procedural, and system
gaps
• Build understanding of inherent risk & control framework of all the processes and identify risk
areas and apprising the stakeholders.
• Manage relationships and expectations with key business stakeholders
• Identify system gaps, risky behaviors/activities, regulatory / procedural errors through
account reviews
• Partner with technology, operations, and business partners on resolution of issues found
• Perform analysis / recommend and highlight process enhancements to operations /
governance teams
• Identify opportunities to drive the effectiveness and efficiency of the Governance teams
• Partner with MIS / Compliance teams to developing and execute new automated and targeted
controls

Qualifications and skills required:

• BS/MS in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Economics or Statistics with demonstrated


technical exposure
• Excellent quantitative skills and comfort with data exploration tools.
• Basic knowledge of the principles governing best practice in enterprise architecture,
governance, and data frameworks.
• Good balance of technical knowledge and business acumen with passion for driving digital
innovation with a customer-first mindset
• Exposure to data stores & querying frameworks such as MySQL & Hive
• Familiarity with data extraction using SQL / VBA / Advanced Excel & hands on experience on
Collections databases / IDN / Teradata / Cornerstone would be positively discriminated
• Prior experience in Targeted/automated based testing or in consulting would be a plus
• Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with cross functional and global teams within GSN
and across AXP
• Must have good communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Working hours: 12.00 PM - 9.00 PM (Rotational shift)
