Direction is how to get to a location. It is also the ways where
your body and body parts aims to move such as up, down,
forward, backward, and sideward

The students will have an activity called “Place Me”. In this activity, the students will be divided into two groups. They are tasked to
put pictures in an illustration pasted on the board.

Instructions:
4.1 Introductory 1. The students will form 2 straight lines.
Activity 2. There is an illustration on the board.
3. Each illustration has 4 arrows which the student needs to follow in placing the picture in it.
(10 minutes)
4. Each picture should be uniform when it is place on the illustration board.
5. For example, if the arrow is pointed down, then a picture should be place downward. If an arrow is pointed upward, then the same
picture will be placed upward. If an arrow is facing on the left then the same picture will be placed facing to the left and the game
repeats until the last picture is pasted on the illustration board.
6. The first group to finish will be the winner.

4.2 Activity
(15 minutes)
The students will be playing “Fixing Words”. The class will be divided into 2. Each group
will be given a set of puzzled words. Each team will try to fix the puzzled words, the first
group who finished it first will be the winner and will receive 20 points and the other
group will also receive 10 points. SAKTO NANI?

Puzzled Words:
1. Sideward
2. Forward
3. Backward
4. Left side
5. Right side

 What are the pictures that you have pasted on the illustration?
4.3 Analysis  What is your basis upon pasting the same pictures in the illustration?
(5 minutes)  From the given activity, where did the arrow pointed?

4.4 Abstraction
(25 minutes)
Direction- are the ways where your body and body parts aims to move such as up,
down, forward, backward, and sideward

Sideward- directed or moving toward one side.

Left Side- the location or direction of the left side

Right Side- the location or direction of the right side

For example:

A girl bends her body side to side.

Forward- in the direction that one is facing or traveling; toward the front.

For example:
 The children are walking straight forward to the school.

Backward- away from one's front; in the direction of one's back.

For example:
 The little monkey is looking backward to his foot.
Guide questions:
1. What do you call a Direction movement wherein it is directed or moving toward one
side?
2. What do you call the ways where your body and body parts aims to move such as
forward, backward, and sideward?
3. What do you call a Direction movement that one is facing or traveling; toward the
front?
4. What do you call a Direction movement that away from one's front; in the direction
of one's back?
5. What are the two kinds of sideward movement?

The students will play a game called “Define Me”. There are 3 baskets placed in front.
Each basket contains the definition of the different direction movement.

Instructions:
1. 3 table has a hidden piece of paper.
2. Each students should check it under the table.
3. The students who gets the piece of paper should paste it into the basket where
he/she thinks it defines/describes.
4. If the students get the correct definition, he/she will be given 20 points.

4.5 Application
(20 minutes)

Definition:

 are the ways where your body and body parts aims to move such as up, down,
forward, backward, and sideward (Direction)
 away from one's front; in the direction of one's back (Backward)
 in the direction that one is facing or traveling; toward the front (Forward)
The students will have an activity called “Box of Movements”. In playing this activity, the teacher will prepare box
contains the different location movements that they have discussed. This box will be passed from one student to
another. In passing the box, the students will be accompanied with a music. Whenever the music stops, whoever the
student is holding the box will be the one to pick and whatever he/she picks from the box, he/she will perform it in
front of the class.

(3 minutes) The students will write 5 example sentences about direction movements on their assignment notebook.

Activity The students will study about their lesson about direction movements for a quiz next meeting.
