Parents’ Orientation Letter

Dear Aljazari Parents,

It is with great pride and happiness that we conclude our Aljazari Summer Academic Program
where we have successfully implemented our DAS paradigm and PDP paradigms in order to
reinforce and scaffold our students’ academic and personal skills. Students exhibited improved
academic performance in the subjects English, Math, Science and Turkish.
Today, we gladly announce the start of our students’ orientation period from September 5th till
September 9th.
The objectives of this orientation period:

1- Aid new students in making a smooth transition from their previous environment.
2- Acquaint new students with the vision, programs, curriculum and facilities of
Aljazari school.
3- Create a welcoming environment that builds a sense of community among all the
students.
4- Evaluate language proficiency levels of our students in English, Arabic, and
Turkish.
5- Introduce our students to our Classroom and Disciplinary Policy that will be
followed during this academic year.
6- Distribute the books and stationary to our students and explain the etiquette of
their usage.
7- Conduct PDP assessments that will help us explore the talents and needs of our
students.
8- Enable students to begin to feel connected to Aljazari learning community and feel
confident and excited about their school.
9- Conduct an Orientation Parents’ Meeting at the end of the students’ orientation period.

The objectives of the Parents’ Orientation Meeting:

1- Learn about Aljazari JLP paradigm.
2- Get to know the teachers and learn about their qualifications and expertise.
3- Get introduced to the DAS and PDP paradigms.
4- Learn about the curricula used in each grade level and subject.
5- Learn about the digital platforms that are used as means of communication between
parents and school.
6- Build a bond of cooperation and trust between school staff and parents.

Dear parents, starting school is a big step for all our students and attending this orientation period helps in guiding and

familiarizing them with all the needed information about our school. Therefore, we highly recommend that all students join
