Subject : Request to organize the discussion program of development of the robotics in Sri Lanka

As a result of the discussion had with Dr. Hasantha Hettiarachchi recently, we were excited to get an
opportunity to impart our knowledge to Sri Lankan students.

Currently, robotics is a rapidly developing field, so a discussion workshop will be held in cooperation with the
Independent Television Network (ITN) service to convey to Sri Lankan students how important this robotics
is.

I strongly believe that there will be an active impact to it through your direct intervention in a background
where there has never been any discourse on this subject in the electronics media such as TV, Radio in Sri
Lanka.

Robotic technology represents the 4th Industrial Revolution since 2011. Therefore, we will hope to educate
the students about it through the following aspects and in addition to that, show how important this subject
will be for school education in Sri Lanka.

 How can teaching robotics improve our children's innovative skills and pave new paths in the future
world?

 Teaching how to develop and enjoy an attitude of discovery that improves their innovative skills by
putting their knowledge into practice,

 Teaching how to prepare our children for robotics all island school competitions held annually by the
Ministry of Education (circular no: 28/2019)

 How important will learning robotics be to Sri Lanka today?

 Explain what hardware and software applications are important in learning robotics
We all know that it is not possible to discuss and finish the matters related to this topic in one day, but with
your permission, I very kindly request you to include this subject in the ITN Television Iskole program or
Doramadalawa program.
