High Temperature

Dear Customer,

Thank you for contacting Radware Technical Support.

To be more effective in resolving your issue please mark the relevant answers in the below
questioner and attach it to the service request or send it to Radware Technical Support Team:
Note: The operating environment must provide minimum airflow (cubic feet per
minute - CFM) per unit at a temperature range of 32° to 104°F (0° to 40°C). The optimal
ambient temperature (temperature of the air in the unit inlet) for reliable operation is
68° to 77°F (20° to 25°C).
Deviation from these conditions might cause to temperature issues and early aging
of electronic components – early failures of the product
1. Are any critical fan alerts warning showing in CLI/SNMP ?
1.1. ☐ Yes Continue with ‘FAN Issue’ scenario.
If the result is negative, check "No" and
continue.
1.2. ☐ No Continue to step 2.
2. Does customer environment comply with Radware device specifications?
2.1. ☐ Temperature tolerance ☐ Yes – Continue to step 2.2.
☐ No – Make necessary adjustment to
comply with the requirements.
2.3. ☐ Humidity conditions ☐ Yes – Continue to step 2.3
☐ No – Make necessary adjustment to
comply with the requirements.
2.5. ☐ Device cooling air flow direction Read below article based on you HW product:

Public/Optimal-temperature-and-ventilation-
requirements
☐ Blocked – Remove any blockade from air
flow and monitor for improvement. If the
problem persist, continue to step 3
☐ Not Blocked – Continue to step 3.
3. Does any other systems located in the same rack have simmilar symptoms?
3.1. ☐ Yes Check the rack system and environment for
possible temperature abnormality.
3.2. ☐ No Continue to step 4.
4. Do other devices blow hot air on the device or on the rack ?
4.1. ☐ Yes Remove any source of hot air blowing, and
monitor for improvement. If the problem
persists, continue to step 5.

4.2. ☐ No Continue to step 5.

5. Is there enough space between the device and neighbor devices ?
5.1. ☐Yes Continue to step 6.6.
5.2. ☐ No Increase the space between the device and
neighbor devices enough to allow sufficient
ventilation, and monitor for improvement. If
the problem persists, continue to step 6.
6. Move Radware device to a cooler place in the rack . Did it solve the problem?
6.1. ☐ Yes Continue to monitor the rack system and rack
environment for possible temperature
abnormality.
6.2. ☐ No Run FT1 and FT2 hardware diagnostic utility,
including ports test
