The Camera
1 Jack Hardy woke up and smiled .It was the first day of the holiday.
Jack jumped out of bed ,dressed up and rushed down stairs. He was
finishing his breakfast when Phil, his best friend, arrived. The two
boys went to the woods to play. When they arrived they decided to go
for camping." We'll need some pieces of wood for the camp." said Jack.
Jack and Phil went to look for wood for their camp, when Jack saw
something in the ground. It looked like a belt at first .He bent down to
pick it up, but it was stuck. He pulled it harder. It was a camera.

2 "Hey Phil. Come and look what I've found!" he shouted. Phil rushed
over to look. Jack pretended to be a photographer and started to take
photographs of his friend .The flash went on!" Great ! It's got a film in,"
cried Jack ." I suppose I'd better take the camera to the police
station."

3 They left the camp and walked to the police station in the village.
Jack told the policeman what had happened. The policeman said that he
would have the film developed ,so they can see what was in the film to
know the owner of the camera .The policeman asked them to come back
later.

4 At 3 o'clock the boys returned to the police station. The

policeman smiled at the boys." Well done," he said." You've helped to
catch two thieves! He explained that the camera belonged to a
tourist ,who was in a bank when two thieves rushed in and stole the
bank.The man took their photographs using his camera, but one thief
saw him and took the camera away and hid it in the woods where they
found it. The policeman thanked them and said that "the thieves are in
prison now". The policeman gave Jack a small box. Inside it was a new
camera as a gift. Jack was delighted and they returned to the woods to
take new photographs.
