Se utiliza cuando la acción está totalmente acabada. Por lo tanto, se acompaña de expresiones de tiempo
pasadas que indican el término de la acción. Ejemplos:
Yesterday, last night, last week, last month, when I was a child...
Ejemplos:
. Se usa cuando queremos enfatizar que una acción en pasado sucedió antes que otra acción que también
está en el pasado.

PRESENT PERFECT SIMPLE (Have / has + past participle)
. Para acciones que empezaron en el pasado y todavía continúan en el presente (en castellano lo traducimos
por un presente):

¿Cuánto tiempo hace que vives en Castellón?
How long have you lived in Castellón?
.Vivo en Castellón desde hace dos años
I have lived in Castellón for two years
. Con "just" se traduce por acabar de hacer algo:
.Acabo de ver a Juan
I have just seen John
. Con expresiones de tiempo inacabadas: today, this year, this month, this week, so far…
.He visto a Juan hoy
I have seen John today
. Con ciertas expresiones:
Already: significa "ya" en oraciones afirmativas:
.Ya he hecho los deberes
I have already done my homework
Yet: significa "ya, todavía, aún" en oraciones interrogativas y negativas:
.¿Has visto ya esa película?
Have you seen this film yet?
.Todavía no he ido a Port Aventura
I haven't been to Port Aventura yet = I still haven't been to Port Aventura
Ever: Significa "alguna vez" en oraciones interrogativas:
¿Has conducido alguna vez un Mercedes?
Have you ever driven a Mercedes?
También tiene el significado de "jamás" o "en mi vida" con un superlativo:
. Es la mejor película que jamás he visto (o que he visto en mi vida)

Never:
I have never been to London. Cuando no especificamos en qué momento sucedió la acción, a
no ser que se sobreentienda:
I have visited the Parthenon (no especificas cuándo fuiste)
Before:
I’ve seen this film before.
Recently:
He has been to New York recently.
