General Outline for Mini Project Dissertation/Thesis Write-Up

Size and Copies:

 The Dissertation should be submitted in A4 size paper and 5 (2 group copies + 3
individual copies) of the project.

Paper, Typing & Format:

 The layout should provide 1 ½ inch on the left side, 1 inch on top and bottom, 1 inch
on the right side.
 Fresh Para should commence after two spaces. 1 ½ spacing shall be provided
throughout the dissertation/thesis.
 The page number shall be indicated at the bottom middle of each page.
 The bond paper should be used for the preparation of the Dissertation/Thesis.
 Header-1: Page Title (Chapter number and name) in 16-font size, Times New Roman,
Bold, all capitals.
 Header-2: Headings of the chapter in 14-font size, Times New Roman, Bold,
Capitalize each word.
 Header-3: Sub-headings of the chapter in 12- font size, Times New Roman, Bold,
Capitalize each word.
 The body of the text is of 12 font-size letters, Times New Roman style; and justified.
 Figures should be aligned in center, and captioned with “Figure1: Architecture
Diagram” below the figure.
 Tables should be aligned in center, and captioned with “Table1: Performance values”
above the table.

Binding
 The Dissertation/thesis shall be properly bound, using a hardcover of black colour.
The bound front cover should indicate in a Gold Embossed letter.
Arrangement of Chapters
The following is a suggested format for arranging the Dissertation / Thesis matter into
various chapters. However, this arrangement can be changed to suit the particular
dissertation/thesis work.

Table of contents
1. Introduction
2. Literature Survey
3. System Analysis
4. Proposed System
5. Experimental Results (UML diagrams can also be included)
6. Discussion of Results

11.Project should be uploaded into Github and link should be embeeded in last page.

Note:
1.The paper publication author list must be all the students of the project and followed by
guide name.
2.The jounal names will be notified by the PRC.
