International Organization for Standardization (ISO): is an international


nongovernmental organization made up of national standards bodies; it develops and
publishes a wide range of proprietary, industrial, and commercial standards and is
comprised of representatives from various national standards organizations.

The word ‘assess’ comes from the Latin verb ‘assidere’ meaning ‘to sit with’.
Assessment is the process of documenting, usually in measurable terms, knowledge, skill,
attitudes, and beliefs. Assessment in education is the process of gathering, interpreting,
recording, and using information about pupils’ responses to an educational task.

Quality standards are defined as documents that provide requirements,


specifications, guidelines, or characteristics that can be used consistently to ensure that
materials, products, processes, and services are fit for their purpose.

The Quality Cycle of Assessing Own Work

Is when organization works to prevent

The CHECK Process was created to give Supervisors and
other shop floor personnel a simple tool to evaluate process
conformance. The check process serves as a guideline to
make sure the basics are addressed consistently across all
shifts.

Here are some practices:


1. Operators fully trained on all shifts? Was the training

A safe work procedure (SWP) is an integral part of the risk
management process as it outlines the hazards, risks and
associated controls measures to be applied to ensure the

An owner's manual (also called an instruction manual or a
user guide) is an instructional book or booklet that is
supplied with almost all technologically advanced consumer
