PART A ACTION PLAN: Criteria B (Investigation) is due 13/09/2022

Complete the “Building a Well” Action Plan attached with this outline. This will be the
thinking and planning of your task and build a well fundraiser

Place/ Region in need of water. The country I have chosen is Yemen

Why have you chosen this country?
I have chosen Yemen as my chosen country to build a well in,
because approximately around 17.8 million people in Yemen don’t
have access to safe drinking water and enough sanitation services in
Yemen. This is more than half of the population. The current water
network reaches less than 30% percent of the Yemeni population
and millions of Yemenis including women and children need to
walk miles to fetch water. As well as Yemen is experiencing largest
humanitarian crisis in the history. Including, pandemic, epidemic,
scarcity of food and war at the same time.

How much money is needed to build the well? To build a well in Yemen you need around $1000

How will you fund the expenses? (explain your

fundraiser) To raise the money needed to build a well in Yemen me and the
rest of the class will work together and will have a mufti day

Predict possible issues in money collection/ your A possible issue that can occur with the money collection is people
research and explain how you can overcome them? not paying the money for the mufti day. We can try ensuring this
doesn’t happen by making sure the teacher writes down the people
who payed and makes sure everyone dressed in mufti pays

Why do you think this topic is important and relevant
to our learning?
This topic is very important and is relevant to our because it teaches
us about other countries that are going through many issues right
now that we can’t mostly relate to. It makes us learn something new
that we could’ve not known of and by doing so it will raise
awareness and help those countries and people in need

Step 1 – Read through the assessment outline and understand the requirements
Step 2 – Choose a country for building the well in
Step 3 – Find a trusted organization for
Step 4 – with the rest of the group discuss the goal and how much money you are aiming to raise
Step 5 – come up with multiple ideas for fundraising the money and a backup plan encase the first one doesn’t work
Step 6 – split the work between the groups so that everyone gets a task
Step 7 – Ask the principal for permission in order to pursue further with the plan
Step 8 – hold the fundraiser
Step 9 – donate the money that was raised to the organization
