ways to manage one’s
emotions
Today, let’s talk about
some ways to help you
manage your feelings.
Can you recall for some
of those feelings that
you mentioned
yesterday?
Ask yourself:
In terms of my
emotional behavior, how
would I describe myself?
Would others agree with
that assessment?
EMOTIONAL
AWARENESS
Emotional awareness
is the process of recognizing and
acknowledging your feelings. Having
emotional awareness can equip you to
properly manage and improve your mental
hygiene. When humans feel a certain
emotion, generally, there is a physical or
mental reaction that accompanies it.
Paying attention to your own physical and
mental cues can help you identify when
you are experiencing specific emotions.
How can I manage my emotions?
1. Acknowledge when you’re not feeling great.
2. Allow yourself to feel your emotions.
3. Express your emotions in a healthy way.
4.Understand that both negative and positive
emotions are essential.

1. Explain what it means by: Don’t let your feelings get the
best of you.
2. Provide an example of a time where you regretted doing
or saying something based on the way you were feeling.
3. Provide 3 tips that help to manage feelings
