keeping track of online cyber crime. First to understand why CyberCrime Link Analysis
is important we need to know what it is first. Link Analysis is “a data analysis technique
that examines relationships among people, places, and things. As a visual tool, link
analysis provides users a powerful method to quickly understand and ‘see’ what is
happening.” Basically insinuating that it's a tool that analyzes past and present
relationships amongst people or things and make them known to understand the
correlation if an event like a cyber crime were to happen. This technique is widely used
CyberCrime Link Analysis has been beneficial in the CyberCrime world helping
detect illegal activities like fraud detection, counter terrorism, computer security
analysis, search engine optimization, market research, medical research, and art. There
are still recurring issues that happen even in this generation, for example the amount of
data structured or stored within a system can give the Link Analysis tool to many
unrelated sources. Though this is one of the minor issues, networks are studied in either
matrices or groups and a network can also be represented by a set of nodes and ties
other customers or customer to products. Link analysis not only establishes the
connection, it also provides information about how other variables or attributes can be
used to characterize the type of link as well as its strength. In particular, link analysis is
critical for mapping and then understanding spheres of influence”. The benefits in using
Link Analysis are to show how closely connected groups or customers are towards
other groups or customers, the collection of data upon each group or customer linked
with an attribute that pertains to them like an item they bought or just demographic
values, The speed at which the communication flows throughout the social network.
Given this particular benefit, many public safety agencies already use some sort of link
