FOOD: ICE CREAM

Introduction:
Ice Cream creates a feeling of comfort, and for some Filipinos, it is their guilty pleasure.
But have you heard of a unique vegan ice cream? Squash and Carrots are one of the most
common vegetables that are truly beneficial. According to Dr. Liezel Atienza – a nutritionist and
dietitian professional, said that most Filipinos do not eat prescribed vegetables. (Next slide)
In fact, a lot of children do not prefer to eat squash even if it has a great source of protein,
minerals, and vitamins like vitamin A & B that helps maintain a healthy skin and make your bone
stronger. While carrots are loaded with Vitamin A that controls the blood sugar level.
So, our group decided to innovate an ice cream made of squash and carrots, but with a twist of
adding graham and honey. While, adding condensed milk and nestle cream will make ice cream
creamier. Honey and graham are both sweets that will serves as a moderator of sweetness. (Next
Slide)

Purpose of the Innovation:


We, as Filipinos, we always wanted to try something new, something we haven’t tasted or
something extraordinary that would leave us a remarkable taste. The purpose of this innovation
is to meet the consumer demand that are constantly evolving. However, the main purpose of this
innovation is to persuade the non-vegan people to try and eat a vegetable with a twist or in
different manner. So, this will serve as a nutritious snack. But to make things clear, the graham
that we will be using is dairy-free and vegan. So, the sweetness will vary from honey, which is an
alternative for sugar which is beneficial for lowering blood sugar level. Therefore, squash, carrots,
graham, and honey are great complement for an ice cream flavor. (Next slide)

Target Market:
Since most of the students often goes to 7/11 and buy an ice cream, we chose STI College
Balayan students to be our target market. Aside from this, it is proven that ice cream can be a
mood booster. The silk smooth of ice cream is scientifically proven to help make breakups,
heartaches, and other major causes of sadness easier to go through.
