SYNOPSIS

SPORTS AND RECREATIONAL CENTRE

1.) PROJECT INTRODUCTION :

Sports includes all forms of competitive physical activity or games which

through casual or organised participation, aim to use, maintain or improve physical ability and
skills which providing enjoyment to participants and in some cases, entertainment for
spectators. A sports complex is a group of sports facilities. For example, there are track and
field stadiums, football stadiums, baseball stadiums, swimming pools, and Indoor arenas.
Olympic Park is also a kind of Entertainment complex.

2.) NEED OF THE STUDY :

• To create a venue for national and international sport events and promote sports
persons across the country.
• To provide benefit to local population as the proposed city would encourage them to
enroll in sports via membership schemes and thus promote healthy living with increase
in employment.
• To create a strategic events that will help to attract national and international sporting
events to be held and become reason of global appreciation to nation.

3.) AIM OF THE STUDY :

To create an architectural environment of sports and its relation with the

society which will promote sports spirit among residents to lead a healthy lifestyle and it will
also focus on landscape, use of open space, more recreational spaces and better traffic
circulation and parking facilities.
4.) OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY :

• To get the talented youths from their based environment from poor society to higher
class and uncalculating them to the field and making them successful.

• To enrich the standard of our nation among all countries.

• To enhance the international standard sports complex.

• To realize a first cost benefit of improving the nation’s economy from the other raising
nations.

• To raise awareness towards people about the sports and physical benefits.

• To raise awareness towards people to know the value of their younger generation
talents and making them to involve in it.

• To analyze and understand the different sports and physical education system.

• To outline the methods of youths to come into the fields.

5.) SCOPE :

• Promoting economic development and act as a catalyst for economic growth through
increased investment.
• There are wide scope of using new modern methods of architecture to compete with
neighboring cities like “ GIFT CITY, DREAM CITY, and DHOLERA SIR “.
• Site has greater potential that can be used to make environment friendly design.
• Improvements in community physical and mental health.
• Help in improving community physical and mental health by providing opportunity for
physical activity to the society and encourage active lifestyle habits.
• Provide various community benefits which include usable public spaces and increased
social interactions.

6.) LIMITATIONS :

• The design part will be only conceptual plans to deal with the design problem.
• The thesis will not cover the design of manufacturing unit since it’s a different sector.
 7.) THRUST AREA :

Sustainable and eco friendly sports complex

 BENEFITS OF THRUST AREA :

Sustainable and eco focused building practices will reduce energy costs, reduce
construction waste, and show that sports complex is focused on keeping the community
healthy. Though incorporating renewable energy sources is bit more expensive initially, it can
save a significant amount of money in energy costs over time.

8.) SITE :

• The site is located in Thiruvidandai, ECR.

• The government proposed site is 500 acres.
• Public vehicles are also there to reach the site.
