Caller: Good morning, ma'am or sir.This is Elson. May I know what are the scholarships offered
by CIT?
Reciever: A moment, sir or ma'am, let me check. The CIT offers academic scholarships, special
academic scholarships, DOST scholarship qualifiers, and non-academic scholarships.
Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, the athletic scholarship is currently suspended.
Caller: May I know the qualifications for the academic scholarship, Sir or Maam?
Reciever: For the academic scholarship, the qualifications are that you must be among the top 10
graduates of any public senior high school with at least 400 graduates or a private senior high
school with at least 200 graduates.
For the Special Academic Scholarship, the qualifications are that you must have graduated with
honors from one of the following schools: Cebu City National Science High School, Philippine
Science High School, Minglanilla National Science High School, Naga National High School,
and other national science high schools.
For DOST scholarship qualifiers, you can visit their website.https://www.dost.gov.ph/to check
for more details about their scholarship.
Non-academic scholarships require you to be a college student enrolled in any course. has at
least one semester of residency or is a senior high school graduate of Cit University; the next
parents' combined annual income is not more than 150,000 pesos. Lastly, they must have no
criminal record, history of drug addiction, or violation of any rules and regulations of the
university.
Caller: I think I am qualified for this scholarship. May I know the requirements, sir or madam?
Reciever: Yes, ma'am or sir. Please listen carefully.
The requirements for the Academic scholarship are:
-Certification of Graduation Honors (with official seal) from the SHS Principal indicating the honors
received, overall ranking, and the total number of graduates of the SHS Batch
- Comprehensive resume’ with 2x2 colored picture
- Entrance Examination Result
- Confirmation Letter from the SHS Principal attesting the graduation honors and overall rank of an
applicant. This letter MUST be mailed to CIT. Hand carried Confirmation Letters are NOT accepted.
The requirement for the non-academic scholarship are:
- Application letter addressed to the president Engr. Bernard Nicolas E. Villamor president Cebu Institute
of technology- University N. Bacalso Avenue, Cebu City.
- Biodata or resume with 2x2 picture
- Latest Income tax return or tax exemption certificate of both parents (if deceases must secure and
submit a copy of death certificate)
-certificate of good moral character

Receiver: For the academic scholar, you will receive one school year of free privileges as well
as a full tuition discount.
