Have you ever heard about diabetes? Well is a modern disease around the world, but in Mexico its one of the most
common causes of deaths, according to data of the Inegi, in the 2020 around of 151,019 people died due the disease I
mentioned before, this disease consists that when blood glucose (sugar) levels are too high. Glucose comes from the foods
you eat. Insulin is a hormone that helps glucose enter cells to supply them with energy.

Around the world there is a lot of people investigating on the topic, one example of this NICHD (The National Institute of
Child Health and Human Development Eunice Kennedy Shriver), that is an American federal government agency that
conducts research on health topics, Some of the Institute's research on diabetes addresses these important objectives and
of which our topic "Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM)" is already being investigated.
For an appropriate investigation work we decided to ask ourselves a starting question to solve it then after with an
hypothesis.

Is type 1 diabetes related with the nutritional habits of the kids or is it just simply as a genetic topic related, also if the
schools have a protocol to prevent this disease and what do the schools are doing with respect to this topic?

Our hypothesis is: the actions taken in the schools of the Toluca Valley, such as physical activity, contribute to the
prevention of type 1 diabetes in children aged 11-12 years, obtaining favorable results in the glucose blood tests.

The justification is that in Mexico it's another kind of diabetes that is more worrying and Im talking about the Diabetes
Type 1, this kind of diabetes is affecting kids and youngers and how it function is when your pancreas makes little or no
insulin, Without insulin, blood sugar can't get into your cells and builds up in your bloodstream, type 1 diabetes is usually
diagnosed in children, teens, and young adults, but it can occur in people of any age.
We strongly believe that this kind of Diabetes it's also relationated with the habits of the childrens, we refer about what
they eat, how much time is expended on exercise in case they do it and many other habits, we relationate this kind of
Diabetes also with the schools, because the majority of time that a children spend is on the school so we believe that the
schools should have campaigns about the prevention of this kind of disease.
The main purpose of this Research is expose if the schools are relationated with the Diabetes type 1 and if they have
campaigns to the prevention of that, also it’s important to be informed of the diseases more common on Mexico and the
reasons the cause it, we strongly believe that the best way to solve a problem is preventing on it.

Now we will show the general objectives and specific objectives for this work.
General objective: Analyze the causes and consequences of type 1 diabetes in children aged 11-12 years and know the
measures that schools take to prevent this disease.

Specific objectives:
1.Know the main causes and consequences of type 1 diabetes in children aged 11-12 years by conducting surveys of this
sector of the population in the Toluca Valley.
2.Observe the preventive measures that the schools of the Toluca Valley take to prevent type 1 diabetes based on rigorous
observations that we will carry out as a team.
3. Study the most common habits of people with type 1 diabetes, this through extensive research on websites and in
clinics or hospitals.

Now let's talk about the declaration of Variables, we are convinced that in addition to genetics, the entire area of habits is
more related to the disease, we could corroborate this with various studies that we can carry out on children to verify the
level of glucose in the blood reaching the dependent variable such as the measurable result, which is the glucose level of
the children, at this point we can measure another piece of information such as the independent variable that is the center
of the investigation, which will be whether the child exercises or not, the controlled variable would be the age range of the
children that we will use to carry out the investigation, since it must be constant.
