Text 2 (4 points)
Everyone needs some salt but not nearly as much as many people actually
eat. Too much salt has been linked with high blood pressure, which in turn can
cause heart disease. So cut down on salt whenever you can. In fact, doctors have
thought of some steps that help us reduce the amount of salt in our food. First,
use less salt in cooking and measure the amount. Second, flavor your food with
lemon juice, herbs, spices or mustard, instead of salt. Also, get out of the habit of
adding salt at the table and cut down on salty snacks, such as salted crisps and
nuts. Finally, Try to avoid those canned and packet soups which are high in salt.
