PREFACE
Curses you must escape

Your hour of deliverance has come! Every area of your life you have been
suffering the effects of a curse will be adequately handled by the time you are
through with reading this book.
Curses are real, make no mistake about that. They are forces in the unseen
realm and they have the power to bring evil.
This book has stated clearly several curses and the deeds that cause them, and it
is your responsibility to program your freedom from them all. Be determined to
make the opportunity of your contact with this book a season of thorough
cleansing of your life from every form of bondage.

FOREWARD
Curses you must escape

Christians are divided in their opinion with respect to curses and their possible
effect. Some people do not believe in the effects of curses. Many Christians tend
to support their stand on the quotation " If any man is in Christ, he is a new
creature, old things are passed away, behold all things are become new"
2 Corinthians 5:17.
The word of God says, " My people perish for lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6).
I have come to believe that many of the problems faced by Christians and
non- Christians could be traced to curses laid on their families and covenants
they or their ancestors entered into, knowingly or unknowingly. As a deliverance
minister, I ministered deliverance to the writer of this book many years ago. He is
a good example of a man that has escaped the curses of life and he is the best
person to help others see and experience liberty as he has experienced.
The writer of this book is a seasoned man of God that is affecting many lives to
God's glory. I believe this book will become a bestselling book. I recommend
this book to you and your friends. Get some copies for your loved ones and
relatives. This book is a must for all ministers of the gospel. Get it, read it,
meditate on it and you will be free from problems as you apply what is
exposed in this book.

Ps. Sam Monday

(TCG GHANA MISSION OVERSEER).

A lot is being said on blessings. To write a book on curses is truly a brave step. I
like to commend Allan for that. The bible is clear on blessings and curses all
through the old testament to the new. However, God makes it clear that either
Curses you must escape

of this comes based on choice. (Deu. 30:19). In this book Allan K.A. Forson
reveals curses that scripture clearly declares and the actions or inactions that
bring those curses on a person. He however ends with a message of hope and
divine turnaround.

Our choices have consequences, but the best choice we can make is to receive
God’s forgiveness and the newness of life in Jesus. This book is one of a kind.
I recommend it for every believer, especially those with issues they don’t have
explanation for. It will help you appreciate your need for the Saviour Jesus
Christ. There are curses you can’t escape, unless Jesus delivers you.

INTRODUCTION
A curse, translated from the Hebrew words “alah”, “arar” or “qalal” can be
defined as the use of powerful words to invoke supernatural harm. A curse is the
opposite of blessing. It can be human or divine, oral or written, personal or
collective. Some curses are binding, whereas others are conditional. Depending
Curses you must escape

on the purpose and context, a curse can be approved or condemned. Mostly,

people claim and perceive that, a curse is just a superstition, but I want you to
know that, a curse is a real force, that determines the destinies of humanity here
on earth.
When someone is under a curse, mischief and injury in life comes upon the
fellow. Studies into the effects of curses shows that, it is one of the major
vehicles that leads to the problems of humanity.
Apparently, curses are invisible barriers that becomes a blockage to what God
wants to do in the lives of humanity. Curses are wicked weapons the devil holds
on to, to distract the progress of humanity.
Curses can sometimes fail or backfire depending on the background of incidence
that lead to the curse.
Proverbs 26:2
As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall
not come.
You cannot curse what God has blessed. A curse without a cause cannot hold.
Balaam’s curse upon the children of Israel did not hold but rather, God turned it
into a blessing. Indirectly the Israelites escaped it. However, we see in Chapter
25 of the book of Numbers that, the curse long afterward actually came to pass
resulting in much slaughter throughout Israel. This was because, there was now a
ground for the curse to hold. They began to commit harlotry with the women of
Moab. They joined them to sacrifice to their gods and bowed down to them. As
long as they continued to live under the statute of God, it was impossible for
them to be a curse. The curse had effect when they made themselves accursed.
1 Samuel 17:43
And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with
staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods
Goliath cursed David with his false god. He asked his god to punish David with a
horror death. The purpose of the curse was such that, nobody could have even
buried David’s body, because; it was wild dogs and vultures that would have
eaten his dead body. Goliath’s curse was only meant to frighten and insult David.
Goliath’s bitter and evil words against God’s servant did not hold. You can’t
curse whom God has not curse. When God honours a man who is zealous for his
Curses you must escape

kingdom because of his faithfulness, cursing him is a waste of time. His curse
rather caused David to bring the judgement of God upon him. If Goliath’s curse
manifested in the life of David, he would be a dead man by the end of the battle,
but David rather killed him. What happened to the curse of Goliath? David
escaped it!

Taking a close look at the effect of curses and the havoc it creates in human live,
it is relevant that we take a second look at some of the deeds that leads to the
magnetization of curses and possibly find ways to escape them. Lot of people
including believers partake in activities for which they don’t know they are
attracting curses, which will definitely have negative consequences on them.
Everything we do in life will have either a positive or a negative consequence.
Mostly, we involve ourselves in things then manage to find our way out, but
don’t forget, life response to the law of input and output, what you sow will
determine the outcome. Nobody escapes this principle of life. Sometimes, people
have the mind and the feeling that, nothing will happen no matter how they live
their life. But that is a very wrong perception. Life will always treat you how you
treat it. Many people cannot understand and give explanation to the various
problems they are facing in their marriage, business, academics, ministry and
other relevant areas of life. Probably, a curse might be working and they are
ignorant of it.
In the following pages of this book, it will expose us to some rudimentary truth
of life which many in one way or the other fall short, and knowingly or
unknowingly, the effects are wreaking havoc in their life. Curses are real, no two
ways about that. What brings curses to us are the things we involve ourselves in.
The principles of God have been laid and we make a choice either to be a
blessing or to live under a curse by the things we choose to belief and practice.
The focus of this book is to bring to light some deeds that attract curses into our
lives. The book points out several curses that exist and how these curses are
attracted into our lives. The book provides practical guidelines that will help us
to escape the various curses operating in this world so we can experience liberty
as Christ has paid the price for us all by already becoming a curse on the cross.
The focus of the book is not to cause fear or condemn anyone, but to unveil the
truth and root cause of suffering in the life of many people. The devil hides in our
ignorance to steal, kill and destroy. I believe the revelation in the following pages
Curses you must escape

of this book will help check and guide the relationship between us and God and
our fellow human. Each chapter of this book discusses a particular kind of a
curse, how it is contracted, the effect and possible ways to escape such a curse. I
want you to open your heart and spirit as the holy spirit exposes the truth of life
to us through his word. I believe the revelation inspired by holy spirit in this
book will help us have a better understanding of the word of God with regards to
curses and how we can possibly escape the effects of curses for our total
liberation and empower us as well to have a right standing with God.

Chapter 1
THE CURSE OF WORSHIPPING IDOLS.
Deuteronomy 27: 15
Cursed be the man that maketh any graven or molten image, an
abomination unto the Lord, the work of the hands of craftsman, and
putteth it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say,
Amen.
Curses you must escape

Idol worship is an unforgivable sin if maintained until death. Many people

find themselves to worship images or objects that represents the moon, star,
sun and other creatures. God instructs us not to worship anything of these
nature.
Some families have the foundation of idolatry, as some members of the
family involve themselves in occult, marine and witchcraft powers, spells,
magic, hexes, visiting native doctors, making enquiries for favour and
others. God hates idolatry to the core. Idolatry invokes God’s anger and it is
one of the ultimate root cause of curses, operating in the lives of many
individuals, families and communities.
Exodus 20 :5
Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy
God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children
unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.
Knowingly or Unknowingly, many people, families and communities have
entered into covenant with demons and dark powers through idol worship. The
curse of idol worship gives satan the legal grounds to diktat the outcome of the
lives of those involved in it, hence the fruitless living of many people. Idolatry
has terribly contributed to the problems of many, including believers.
Idolatry is one of the primary cause of untold hardship, poverty, sickness,
shame, reproach, insanity, untimely death, failure and bondage.
Idol worship is not restricted to the worship and believe of graven images or
stones only, but anything besides God. Martin Lloyd-Jones said:
“An idol can be described as any anything in our lives that occupies the place
that should be occupied by God alone. Anything central in our life, anything
that seems essential. An idol is anything other than God that holds
such a controlling position in our lives such that, it moves, rouses and attracts
too much of our time, attention, energy and money.” For example, if we hold
our properties as more important than God or give our jobs more time and
attention than God, we are committing idol worship.
God blessed Solomon and made him very great. At the end of his life, he allowed
his prosperity and his wives to turn his heart away from God. He began to serve
other foreign gods. When you consider the end of Solomon's life in 1 kings 11,
you will have a better understanding of the danger of idolatry. Solomon lost his
Curses you must escape

dynasty. God was no more with him. God raised enemies to fight him. The peace
he was enjoying was interrupted the moment he turned to serve other gods.
Sometimes when God blesses a man with a Job, prosperity, good marriage ,
children and others, he tend to allow those things to take God's place. He now
idolises the blessings of God.
Many women after marriage and child birth can’t serve God anymore. The
possible excuse they give is, “Man of God, my children now don’t allow me to
come to church as I used to”. Dear mum, your children are taking the place of
God. You are idolising your children against the worship of God. Many a times,
children brought up under such conditions only end up living cursed lives,
because their parents replaced God with them. Some of these children even die
untimely death.
There was a brother who almost every service in the church you will find him
present. He was indeed a committed child of God who devoted much of himself
and time to the service of God. After sometime, God blessed him with a new job
and he became the managing director of a very large supermarket. It was as if
God has made a terrible mistake of blessing this brother. He now worshipped his
job, giving several reasons why he can’t now make time for the things of God.
Everything was his job. He now idolised his job.
In God’s plan, he expects us to worship him and him only. Anything that takes
the place of God’s worship becomes an idol and that attracts his curse.

God is a jealous God. A critical look at places where there is the practise of idol
worship shows that, nothing seems to work out positive for them. They live
under a curse. Anyone who idolises anything besides God has drifted far astray.
The wrath of God comes upon anybody, family, community or nation, that
worship idols. Those that make, keep, trust in and worship or serve idols will
perish at last if they don’t repent. When you involve in idol worship, you are
attracting shame and terrible misfortunes to yourself and everything around you.
Isa 44:9- 11.
Those who make an image, all of them are useless, and their precious
things shall not profit; they are their own witnesses; they neither see nor
know, that they may be ashamed. Who would form a god or mod an
image that profits him nothing? Surely all his companions would be
Curses you must escape

ashamed; and the workmen, they are mere men. Let them all be gathered
together, let them stand up; yet they shall fear, they shall be ashamed
together.

It is very sad to say, some believers are pretenders. We have in church those who
claim to be believers but also look elsewhere for consultations. We have in the
church some people who claim to be Christians yet visit other native doctors,
magic practitioners, palm readers, white and red garment priest and the likes.
There is a story of a brother who claimed God has delayed in blessing him. In
fact, this brother usually assisted the pastor of the church mostly during prayer
sections. Outwardly, he looked on fire for God. To the surprise of everyone, this
brother used to visit shrines and native doctors for consultation and for help to
prosper. He continued for years until one day the holy spirit revealed it to his
pastor. His hypocrisy was exposed by the power of God.
Many are dancing between two opinions. Like Elijah said, if you will serve God,
serve him, if not, serve what you want to, but the end is destructive.
1 Kings 18:2
And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, how long halt ye between two
opinions? If the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And
the people answered him not a word.
Anybody who is destiny conscious and seeks to allow the blessing of God flow
in his life should endeavour to escape this curse of idol worship.
When God appeared to Gideon in Judges 6:25, he instructed him to pull down the
altar of baal built by his father. Gideon obediently did so and that lead to the
reformation of his life and the entire family. Dear brethren, work out your way to
avoid this terrible curse by the help of God.
The key to having freedom from the curse of idol worship is complete
repentance. If you have involved or involving in idol worship, escape this curse
by turning over to Jesus Christ for the complete salvation of your soul.
Also it is important that one should go through deliverance and do away with
anything that contribute to idolatry. Like Gideon did, any covenant with idolatry
needs to be revoked and things representing idols should be surrendered for
Curses you must escape

total destruction. Decide to live for God, and serve him faithfully so you can
experience the manifold blessing of God in your life.
Joshua 24:14-15
Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him sincerity and in truth: and put
away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in
Egypt; and serve ye the Lord. And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord,
choose you this day whom ye will serve, whether the gods which your fathers
served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in
whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Chapter 2

THE CURSE OF ROBBING GOD.

Malachi 3:8-9
Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, wherein have we
robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye
have robbed me, even this whole nation.

Zec.5 :3
Then said he unto me, this is the curse that goeth forth over the face of
the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off as on this side
according to it; and……………………….
Curses you must escape

There is a covenant that exist between every child of God and our heavenly
father. It is the covenant of giving a tenth of all we get to God.
Sadly, many Christians have sponsored the spirit of poverty to operate in
their lives because they do not pay their tithe. God continues explaining
how people are robing and stealing from him in tithe and offerings. There
are preachers teaching that, tithe was a law therefore it is abandoned in the
New testament by Jesus Christ. This is a deception from the pit of hell to
cause people to live under a curse. Jesus Christ came not to destroy the law
but to strengthen it. In Luke 18:12, we see a man who still paid tithe. Those
who don’t tithe faithfully rob God and that create the opportunity for the
curse of lack to operate. Today in both small and large churches are people
who steal from God. When you rob from God, it gives room for the demon
of lack and want to fully function in your life. You bring destruction such
as fire attacks, loss of properties and calamity upon yourself and prosperity
in one way or the other will be far from you. Non-tithers give themselves
up to the spirit of bareness. Incurably diseases and problems that takes
money away occurs in the life of such a person. This is the very reason why
many see evidence of bareness in whatever they do. Bearing fruit is
impossible for non-tithers.
Why does one go through all these for not tithing faithfully? The reason is
because, we open the door for the devourer or the spirit of emptiness to
have its way. It is through tithing that we permit God to rebuke the
devourer of our blessing.

Mal 3:10-11.
Bring ye all the tithe into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine
house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not
open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there
shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for
your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither
shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of
hosts.
Curses you must escape

Non – tithers close their heaven. It is the rain of heaven that pours out on
what we sow for it to be a blessing. When the heaven is closed against you,
life becomes very difficult.
Many people lack the ability to make wealth and live successfully because,
there is a curse operating in their life. Those who honour God with their
substance carry power to make wealth and succeed in all their endeavours.
Deu. 8:18. They have ideas, wisdom and revelation that attracts wealth and
greatness. Abraham became great and prosperous because he was a tither.
In the midst of famine, Isaac sowed and reaped the same year, and even dug
wells during the dry season because he was a tither. The blessing of tithing
and the curse of non-tithing is real, don’t be deceived.
Many people think they are doing God good for tithing and giving
offerings.
Truthfully, God wants us to give to him willingly so he can bless us. We
shouldn’t forget that, everything in the world belongs to God, therefore he
lacks nothing. Ps 50 :11-14. Our tithe and offerings are means of
contributing to the expansion of the kingdom of God.
My dear fellow in Christ, do not allow the devil to hinder you from being a
faithful tither.

Proverbs 3:9-10
Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine
increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall
burst out with new wine.

David Nsiah once said, “Your salvation is meaningless unless it is linked

with your total financial liberty and abundance”. In the agenda of God, he
wants us to be a blessing and live in abundance. In this end time, it is the
church which will teach the world the true meaning of wealth. Prosperity is
the mind of God for the end time church, that is why every believer must
escape the curse of robbing God.
Tithing is a way of showing our appreciation to God. In Genesis 14,
Abraham gave tithe to Melchizedek to appreciate God for the victory given
him when he went to battle to rescue his nephew Lot. Consider the number
Curses you must escape

of victories God has given you. Look at the very same road which has
killed many people, and yet, you have used the same road for years and
God has kept you alive. How many people have failed in business, and
yours keeps growing every day! If you consider those in the hospital paying
exorbitant bills, could you have paid those bills if it was to be you?
Your tithe is a demonstration of thanksgiving to God for his goodness to
you.

With the grace of God, all effort needs to be put in place to escape this
terrible curse of robbing God. Yes, it is possible to escape this curse. We
need to develop a mentality of investing in God’s kingdom. If you have not
be tithing previously, it is time to repent and ask God for his mercy. Take a
decision from today to faithfully give what belongs to God to him. Decide
to be a tither, and watch God faithfully pour out his blessing on you.

Chapter 3
THE CURSE OF FAILING TO BEAR FRUIT.
Matthew 21 :19-20
And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing
thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, let no fruit grow on thee
henceforth for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away. And when
the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, how soon is the fig tree
withered away!

God is very much interested in our fruitfulness. Looking closely into the
bible, Jesus performed so many miracles which were evidence of his love
and compassion. The miracle of cursing the fig tree is a demonstration of
God’s displeasure and judgement towards unfruitfulness in contrast to his
love and compassion.
My question is, why did Jesus curse the fig tree? Was it because he was
hungry? Well, I believe Jesus never cursed the fig tree because he was
Curses you must escape

hungry. Jesus had been hungry before. After forty days of fasting, he was
hungry and tempted to use his messianic power to turn stones into bread,
but he did not. He was hungry when he was in Samaria, seeking the
Samaritan woman. He was tired and hungry, but he ministered the water of
salvation to the woman of Samaria. The disciples urged him to eat
something, but he said to them, “I have food to eat of which you don’t
know” Jn 4:32. He further said to them, “My food is to do the will of him
who sent me, and to finish his work” Jn 4:34. Jesus did not curse the fig
tree because he was hungry. He cursed it for its fruitlessness as a
demonstration of God’s judgement upon all his people who are unfruitful.

Today, millions of Christians are interested in, and praying for material
things but not concerned about the Lord’s commandment to bear fruit
spiritually. We need to understand that; our fruitfulness becomes the basis
of evidence for our Christianity. Our Christian life can be likened to a tree
and a woman. When we fail to bear fruit for God, we are like a tree without
fruits and a woman who is unable to bear children. We have nothing to
show for our Christianity. Spiritual barrenness is considered as disgraceful
and raises doubt, of our claim as Christians. Jesus cursed the tree and it
immediately died because, it showed beautiful and attractive leaves but
when he got closer, there were no fruits. Things knowingly or unknowingly
croak from our life if we decide to remain barren spiritually. It’s very
disgraceful to dress beautifully every time of worship claiming to be a child
of God when we are not partaking in the great commission and contributing
to the spread of the kingdom of God.
Matthew 28:19-20.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe
all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you
always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

The purpose of our salvation is for us to be a channel of salvation to the

unsaved. The assignment of preaching and teaching to turn the heart of men
to God has been handed to us. It is every believer’s obligation to spread the
gospel and win the lost. Surprisingly, many believers have turned deaf ears
to the call and all that we are busily pursuing are festivities, money,
Curses you must escape

business and others, whiles souls are perishing to hell and the work of God
remains undone.
The truth is that; God is not happy with us. How can the heathen receive the
word of God when nobody goes to preach to them? Where are the fruits of
your Christianity?

Prov. 11:30.
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he that winneth souls is
wise.

Many believers are lacking wisdom because, there is an absence of soul

wining (bearing fruit). Wisdom is a principal thing. You can’t succeed
without wisdom. It is through it that a house is built. Prov. 9:1, Prov. 24:3.
Bearing fruit brings much joy to the one who bears the fruit. Psa. 126:6.
Joy is lacking in the life of many believers because there is no fruit to show.
If there is absence of joy, sorrow abounds.
We need to reconsider our ways and pick up our responsibilities as
Christians. We need to examine ourselves and uproot hindrances that
makes us unfruitful Christians. It is time to call upon God and seek for his
grace to help us contribute towards the kingdom of God so we can escape
the curse of unfruitfulness.

Chapter 4
THE CURSE OF DISHONOURING AND DESPISING ҮOUR
PARENTAL
Deuteronomy. 27: 16,20
Cursed be he that setteth light by his father or his mother. And all the
people shall say, Amen.
Cursed be he that lieth with his father’s wife; because he uncovereth his
father’s skirt. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Ephesians. 6 :1– 3.
Children, obey your parents in the Lord for this is right. Honour thy
father and mother;( which is the first commandment with promise) That
it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

Both the old and new testament states emphatically the importance of
honouring your father and mother. Honouring your parents is not a choice
or a suggestion but a command. In the world military setting, you dare not
ignore or disobey a command, how much more in the kingdom of God. The
honouring of parents is an obligation of children. Unfortunately, the impact
Curses you must escape

of technology, the deception of the devil especially at this end time is

causing many children to lift their heels against their parents.

God’s judgement has been passed on those who don’t honour their parents.
Exodus 20:12
Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the
land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

Honouring your father and mother gives long life and so is the opposite.
When you dishonour your parental, you are sowing seeds which will
shorten your life. That’s the more reason why people are dying prematurely
and many cannot last long in their sphere of endeavours. Anything that has
life responds to this truth. Your business life, your health and everything
about you will croak when you sow seeds of dishonour to your parents.
According to the book of Ephesians 6, it will be well with you when you
honour your parent. Automatically, when you dishonour your parent, it will
not be well with you.
Our Lord Jesus Christ is a perfect example to follow when it comes to
honouring of your parent. As the Son of God, he submitted himself to both
his earthly parents and God. (Luke 2: 51). Apparently, you dishonour your
parent when you fail to obey them, when you speak evil against them,
mock at their predicament, bring shame to them, complain and withhold
gratitude from them and refuse to care for them.
Most children have become confused and can’t go far in life and do exploit
because, they have lost their “eyes”. Physically their eyes you can see it,
but it is spiritually blind. It is what you see that you possess.

Proverbs 30 :17
The eye that mocketh at his father, and despiseth to obey his mother, the
ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it.

God told Abram that he will give to him the land as far as his eyes could
see. How far you see your place of greatness in life is determined by how
you honour and appreciate both your physical and spiritual parents. Many
people are walking about with their “eyes” removed. The curse came upon
Ham in Gen. 9 because he despised his father by mocking at his nakedness.
Death awaits when you speak against your parent.
Curses you must escape

Lev 20 :9.
For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to
death: he that cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon
him.

Honour your parent by speaking well of them no matter what. Learn to

honour your parents by esteeming them publicly and privately, seek their
wisdom, support them and provide for them and it shall be well with you.
Chapter 5
THE CURSE OF REBELLING AGAINST AUTHORITY.

Romans 13:1-2
Let every soul be subject unto higher powers. For there is no power but of
God; the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore
resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist
shall receive to themselves damnation

The rebellion of Korah is a perfect example that describes vividly what

happens to a man who decides to rebel or challenge the authority of those
whom God has chosen to be leaders of his people. Korah together with 250
people rose against Moses and Aaron accusing them of exalting themselves
above the congregation of the Lord. Numbers 16:1-3. He felt probably he
had the ability to lead the people of God much better than how Moses was
leading them. He forgot one thing or probably did not know that, when you
oppose a leader God has ordained, you oppose God himself. You become
God’s enemy. God opened the earth and it swallowed Korah and all his
rebel followers, their properties and everything they had.
God is solely responsible for choosing men he wants them to lead his
people. He needs no contest or meetings or collection of application letters.
You might seem to be right to correct your leader, but the question is, who
made you a judge over them?

One thing we must understand is that, leadership is not about age,

education or money but whom God has chosen to use to fulfil his purpose.
Curses you must escape

Miriam and Aaron who were the senior siblings of Moses, by virtue of their
age, felt they knew so much about custom and tradition to correct and speak
against Moses for marrying an Ethiopian woman. Miriam was part of the
survival scheme of Moses when pharaoh was killing the Jewish male
children, but the point is, Miriam was not called, it was Moses who was
called, and that made Moses a leader over her. I want to ask a question, are
you not afraid when you are rebelling against authority and speaking evil
against them? God asked Aaron and Miriam who were the seniors to Moses
a similar question. Miriam suffered leprosy for seven days and God refused
the apology of Moses rendered on behalf of his sister. Numbers 12. God
himself will oppose you when you speak and rebel against authority. If it is
God fighting you, who can deliver you?
Most often, some wives take advantage of issues in the family to
demonstrate their lack of respect and dishonour for the husbands. The man
is the authority of the home, the leader of the family. Once you rebel
against him, you are only inviting curses upon yourself despite the fact you
are the wife.
Rebellion against authority is rebellion against God. Those who rebel
against God have a curse of making their land dry.

Psalm 68 :8b
He (God) leads the prisoners out to prosperity, but the rebellious dwell in
a dry land.

To dwell in a dry land is to live a life characterised by spiritual, physical,

material, intellectual, financial, and emotional drought. The rebellious
dwell in a dry land. This is very terrible! Nothing will seem to be working
well for you in life. Total drought. Your ways will be hard, and your
difficulties will be in multiplications. You open the door for the devil to
wreck serious havoc and leave you in desolation. Everything about you will
be wasted. You will be left in emptiness. Like Absalom, you involve
yourself and bring upon yourself war which you can’t win and finally be
hanged and killed. 1 Samuel 18: 1- 15. When you oppose authority, instead
of your life being on a wonderful road to your glorious destination, you go
down in the dungeon of darkness and in bondage, under the shadow of
death, defeat and despair. Psalm 107 :9 -12.

Never allow familiarity with your leaders give room to rebel against them.
Humility and submissiveness is the key. Escape this curse if you want to go

Chapter 6
THE CURSE OF PAYING GOOD WITH EVIL.

Proverbs 17: 13
Whosoever rewardeth evil for good, evil shall not depart from his house

Ingratitude is a sin, hateful and offensive to God. It is actually devilish to

render good with evil and whosoever indulge in it will be punished. It is
often very sad when someone does you good, only not to be appreciative
but turn to stab the person at his back with evil. Today, people find it very
difficult to help others because, the same person you help, will rise against
you tomorrow. Many heart have been wounded and lot of people have not
yet recovered from the pain of been paid with evil for trying to play a good
role and helping others.

1 Samuel 25:14-17
But one of the young men told Abigail, Nabal’s wife, saying, behold,
David sent messengers out of the wilderness to salute our master, and he
railed on them. But the men were good unto us, and we were not hurt,
neither missed we anything, as long as we were conversant with them,
when we were in the fields: They were a wall unto us both by night and
day, all the while we were with them keeping sheep. Now therefore know
and consider what thou wilt do; for evil is determined against our master,
and against all his household: for he is such a son of Belial. That a man
cannot speak to him.

Vs. 21-22
Curses you must escape

Now David had said, surely in vain have I kept all that this fellow hath in
the wilderness, so that nothing was missed of all that pertained unto him:
and he hath requited me evil for good. So and more also do God unto the
enemies of David, if I leave of all that pertain to him by morning light any
that pisseth against the wall.

When David and his men were keeping the things that pertained to Nabal,
he Nabal, didn’t see any fault in David, but when it got to the time to
reward him back for what he did for him, he now found fault in David.
People sacrifice a lot for other’s life to be better. They go through all
manner of stress and hardship to extend a helping hand, but only to be
repaid with evil like the case of David. Ingratitude is as terrible as anything.
The judgement that comes upon any man who repays good for evil affects
his entire house. David would not have destroyed Nabal only, but
everything about him, because the judgement had already been passed by
God. You bring destruction upon yourself and your household. All manner
of evil will not depart from your house. Most people tend to criticize the
prayer of David in Psalm 109 because, they haven’t yet been a victim of
being paid back with evil, for a good done. There is much pain in the heart
of any man paid with evil for a good done.
Proverbs 17 :13
Whosoever rewardeth evil for good, evil shall not depart from his house
Ingratitude is a sign of disloyalty, unfaithfulness and betrayal. One weapon that
ungrateful people tend to use, is the weapon of accusation. They find fault to
justify their act of ungratefulness. It is sometimes heart breaking to experience
such occurrences from people whom you once trusted, cared, loved, supported,
sacrificed for and did everything you can to be of help. Ungrateful men are very
dangerous because, they can become an agent for your execution.
After staying in bondage for 430 years in Egypt, God through his miraculous
power brought the children of Israel out in riches, children, cattle, food, gold and
other precious artefacts. God selected them amidst other nations to be those to
inherit the promise land flowing with milk and honey. In numbers 14 :2-4, after
Joshua and Caleb and the other ten had spied the land of promise, the children of
Israel now forgot what God has done for them throughout their journey in the
wilderness to the point that, they preferred going back to Egypt. They
demonstrated a high level of ungratefulness. God promised to wipe away the
Curses you must escape

ungrateful generation and disinherit them. They wandered in the wilderness for
forty good years without achieving nothing. Those who pay good for evil become
wanderers. They delayed their journey to their greatness because, ingratitude is a
progress slower. Some even died unfulfilled. The painful aspect of the whole
matter is that, the curse of paying good with evil will not only affect you, but
your generation. When the children of Israel were coming out of Egypt,
remembrance was one thing God wanted them to have. He wanted them to
remember how he had brought them out of Egypt. He wanted them to remember
how bad things had been. In their prosperity, He wanted them to be grateful to
the Lord God. God knew what would happen if they forgot these important
things. Learn to be appreciative to God and people who do good to you.
Jeremiah 18:18 – 22
Then they said “Come and let us devise plans against Jeremiah: for the law
shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from
the prophet. Come and let us attack him with the tongue, and let us not give
heed to any of his words.” Give heed to me O Lord, and listen to the voice of
those who contend with me! Shall evil be repaid for good? For they have dug a
pit for my life. Remember that I stood before you to speak good for them.
Therefore, deliver up their children to the famine, and pour out their blood by
the force of the sword; let their wives become widows and bereaved of their
children. Let their men be put to death, their young men be slain by the sword
in battle. Let a cry be heard from their houses, when you bring a troop
suddenly upon them; for they have dug a pit to take me, and hidden snares for
my feet.

One of the most churlish avenue you can find yourself is ministry. Jeremiah (a
pastor) laboured so much for his congregation in prayer, fasting, preparing and
feeding them with the nutritious meal of the word of God, to make sure it is well
with their lives at the expense of his family and himself, but they only ended up
paying him back with ingratitude and even wanting to kill him. They easily
forgot the sacrifices he made on their behalf. Parents can labour and bring up a
child and when the child becomes something of importance, instead of showing
appreciation if not for anything, that God used them to bring him/her to the
world, they mistreat, reject and now call their parent all manner of names. Even
if your mother is the worse prostitute or your father is the most wanted criminal
on this earth, they are your parent.
I had the opportunity to teach in a school for some time. As at the time of

left, convinced the parents of the children and took away the children to start a
new school of his own. He forgot it was the same school he was receiving salary
for about 5years. He said all manner of things against the school in the
community, paying back the proprietor with evil for the good he has done. As at
the time I saw him for the first time, he was doing very well. His new school was
booming, but as I talk to you now, he is left with nothing, the school has
collapsed.
My fellow believer in Christ, give no room for the devil to inflict your life with
this curse. Learn to be appreciative to people who have helped you. If you refuse
to show gratitude after all those sacrifices people have made for you to get to the
level you are now, you are only inviting curses to yourself and your generation.

Chapter 7
GENERATIONAL CURSES.

Lamentations 5:7
Our fathers have sinned, are not; and we have borne their iniquities.

A generational curse is basically a defilement that is passed down from one

generation to another. It can also be defined as a spiritual bondage that is
passed on from one generation to another. A generational curse is a
negative pattern which is handed down from generation to generation.
Things of the spirit can be inherited. Have you wondered why in some
families there is a particular sickness (cancer, stroke, leprosy etc.), that
seems to plague every member of the family. Some also have persistent
financial challenges, persistent fears and depression and others also
experience some form of mental problems. Generational curses are mostly
as a result of sinful act meted out by fore-parents and their generation
afterwards suffer from their act of uncleanliness. As God blesses the sons
of the faithful for their fathers’ sake, so he visits upon the children, the
offences of their father. Take for example a mother who indulges herself in
occultism. She defiles herself and opens her generational door for various
demons to influx herself and the generation aftermath. Anybody that is
under such a curse will automatically go through life struggling with the
same captivity that held his/her fore parent. Check into your life and that of
your parents and your siblings, or probably other relatives. Do you have
any problem in common that runs through the family and it’s like its
ruining the family?

Exodus 34:7
Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and
sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the
fathers upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth
generation.

As long as we continue to live under the destructive behaviours and sins of

our parents without conquering it, we will definitely be more likely to be
affected and prone to a generational curse. There are many who believe
that, once you gain salvation you are free from a generational curse.
Curses you must escape

Generational curses are influenced by demons, and demons don’t

automatically leave at the time of salvation. You continue to be hunted by
the demons even though the bondage of generational curse has been broken
by Jesus Christ through his death and resurrection. It’s rather unfortunate
how many believers are still leaving with the demons of generational curses
which abruptly is causing havoc in their life. This is because, the demon of
generational curse has not yet been cast out. Deliverance ministration needs
to be sort, for one to have freedom to pursue destiny.
It is very important that leaders, heads of houses and parents consider their
doings. The effect of their deeds descends to their followers and children.
We owe our offspring, the ability to live righteously to attract the benefit of
God’s blessing upon their lives.

Chapter 8
THE CURSE OF REMOVING ҮOUR NEIGHBOURS
LANDMARK.
Curses you must escape

The Easton bible dictionary defines a landmark as a boundary line indicated

by a stone, stake etc. Even before the children of Israel had reached the
promise land of Canaan, God fore-warn them to make sure they don’t
remove the landmarks of their neighbours. If the subject of landmarks were
not important, God would not have associated a curse to it.

Deuteronomy 27:17
Cursed be he that removeth his neighbour’s landmark. And all the people
shall say, Amen.

Landmark symbolically shows ownership. A landmark showed where each

of the tribes’ land was to be. The removal of a neighbour’s landmark is
equivalent to theft. A landmark was considered a sacred thing that helped
secure family holdings and was used as a means of protection against
deceit, error and confusion.

People destroy their neighbour’s properties, relations and opportunities to

build theirs. For example, a pastor would break away from a church, carry
the church members and church properties to build his. You are removing
someone’s landmark. When you destroy what someone has laboured for
years, to have your way, you are calling tragedy on yourself. It will
backfire.

Isaiah 33: 1
Woe to thee that spoilest, and thou wast not spoiled; and dealest
treacherously, and they dealt not treacherously with thee! When thou
shalt cease to spoil, thou shalt be spoiled; and when thou shalt make an
end to deal treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with thee.

When you destroy or plunder or deal treacherously with others, the same
shall happen to you. It is a seed you are sowing which you will surely reap.

Galatians 6:7
Curses you must escape

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatever a man soweth, that
shall he also reap.

Proverbs 22:8
He that soweth iniquity shall reap vanity: and the rod of his anger shall
fail.

You break someone’s marriage to takeover, you destroy some’s business to

build yours, you break someone’s church to start yours, you create
confusion amidst close friends and relatives to have your way to attach
yourself, Eeeiii, a curse awaits you. You will suffer the consequences.
In 1 kings 21: 1-16, we read an account of king Ahab who wanted a piece
of land to plant a garden. He didn’t see any land apart from that of
Naboth’s, but Naboth refused him because he genuinely owned the land.
Naboth refusal made the king go home so sad refusing to eat. Soon, when
his wife, Jezebel came in and asked what had made him so upset, look at
Ahab’s answer,

1 kings 21:6
And he said unto her, because I spake unto Naboth the Jezreelite, and
said unto him, give me thy vineyard for money; or else, if it please thee, I
will give thee another vineyard for it: and he answered, I will not give
thee my vineyard.

Jezebel came with an evil plan just to take the land out of the hands of
Naboth. Her plan lead to the death of Naboth. He was stoned to death and
she and the foolish husband took over the land.

1 kings 21:17-23
And the word of the Lord came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying, Arise, go
down to meet Ahab king of Israel, which is in Samaria: behold, he is in
the vineyard of Naboth, whither he is gone down to possess it. And thou
shalt speak unto him, saying, thus saith the Lord, hast thou killed, and
also taken possession? And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, thus saith
the Lord, In the place where dogs licked the blood of Naboth shall dogs
lick thy blood, even thine. And Ahab said to Elijah, hast thou found me,
O mine enemy? And he answered, I have found thee: because thou hast
sold thyself to work evil in the sight of the Lord. Behold, I will bring evil
upon thee, and will take away thy posterity, and will cut off from Ahab

him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in
Israel, and will make thine house like the house Jeroboam the son of
Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah, for the
provocation wherewith thou hast provoked me to anger, and made Israel
sin. And Jezebel also spake the Lord, saying, the dogs shall eat Jezebel by
the wall of Jezreel.

God sent Elijah to Ahab to pronounce judgement upon Ahab and his house
for removing his neighbour’s landmark. It was God himself who dealt with
him but not man. Ahab and Jezebel didn’t suffer the consequences
immediately but along the line, the judgement issued came to pass. Most at
times, people who engage themselves in such act enjoy a breathing space
for some time, so they probably think nothing will happen to them. You
can’t escape it no matter the years it takes.2 kings 9 :32-37
When you destroy a neighbours hard worked effort to satisfy your selfish
ambition and desires, God will bring trouble upon you. He will destroy
your children and cut every important thing out from your life. That’s how
dangerous it is.
It would be appropriate if we can humble ourselves and wait for our time
and season! It would be better if we can suffer and build ours! It is much
better if we can humble ourselves and learn the secret of success from those
who have succeeded. Unfortunately, people rather refer to destroy what
belongs to others to build theirs. May God have mercy!

Chapter 9
THE CURSE OF MISTREATING FOREIGNERS, ORPHANS
AND WIDOWS.
Curses you must escape

Deuteronomy 27:19
Cursed be he that perverteth the judgement of the stranger, fatherless and
widow. All the people shall say, Amen.

It is our duty to protect the weak and powerless. Any nation or person who
mistreats the vulnerable such as the poor, widow, fatherless and foreigner
brings the condemnation of God upon themselves and experience loss all
round.
Exodus 22:21-24
Thou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for ye were strangers
in the land of Egypt. Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child. If
you afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear
their cry; and my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword;
and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.

The sin of oppressing foreigners, the widow and orphans symbolically is as

the sin of sorcery (witchcraft) and adultery. Anybody who practices
witchcraft is not supposed to be allowed to live. When you oppress the
vulnerable, you turn yourself into a witch or wizard and you will surely
perish because God has passed the judgement already.

Malachi 3:5
And I will come near to you to judgement; and I will be a swift witness
against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false
swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the
widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right,
and fear not me, saith the Lord of hosts.

Exodus 22:18
Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.

We take advantage of foreigners living in our midst. We often deprive these

ones with correct justice and use them as labourers under tough conditions.
It is very dangerous because, when they cry out against you, God will count
it as a sin. There are lots of orphans who have become a prey and so many
widows have been plundered by their in- laws and the society.
Curses you must escape

It is our duty to stand behind the vulnerable but not cheat and take
advantage of them. Never find yourself in this position. Be a blessing to the
weak and poor and God will reward you.

Isaiah 1 :17
Learn to do well; seek judgement, relieve the oppressed, judge the
fatherless, plead for the widow.

Chapter 10
WHEN ҮOU CURSE GOD.
Leviticus 24: 15-16
Curses you must escape

And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, whosoever
curseth his God shall bear his sin. And he that blasphemeth the name of
the Lord, he shall surely be put to death, all the congregation shall
certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land,
when he blasphemeth the name of the Lord, shall be put to death.

What does it mean to curse God? To curse God is to literally become angry
at God, making you to condemn him. It can also be explained as, when you
denounce and probably lose your trust in him because maybe you think he
has done you wrong.
The suffering of Job was so severe. Satan succeeded in afflicting Job with
terrible skin diseases and boils from the sole of his feet to the crown of his
head. Job 2:7-8. In response to his suffering, the wife advised him to
lose his integrity in God by cursing God. Many ask me questions like, why
do bad things happen to good people and bad people prosper. Jeremiah 12:
1? Why does tragedy befall those who God loves the most? Why does good
people die young? These were the questions I believe were running through
the mind of Job’s wife and apparently, she couldn’t stand it anymore,
therefore decided to end it all by admonishing the husband to curse God.
Cursing God is an automatic suicide. Death sentence!
But the question is, is God really behind the calamities that strikes us?

Job 34:12
Yea, surely God will not act wickedly, And the Almighty will not pervert
justice.

God is not a wicked God. He is a loving father who does not want his
children to suffer. If that’s the case, the stormy activities, the destructions
and accidents, the wildfires, volcanic eruptions, drought and others, where
are they from? The answer is simple, it’s from the enemy of humanity, the
devil and sometimes our own carelessness and mistakes.

Matthew 13: 27 -28

So the servant of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow
good seed in your field? How then does it have tares? He said to them,
‘An enemy has done this’. ………………?
Curses you must escape

Thank God for Job, though he went through horrendous suffering, receiving
insults from friends and all manner of inappropriate advice, that made him
groaned, wail, and fall into depression, he never cursed God.
When people fall into problem, the first person to blame is God. We lash
God with offensive and abusive words. We shouldn’t forget, anything you
throw up will definitely fall back on your head.
I remember a brother who was so furious and stopped attending church
because he claims God didn’t help him to pass his exams. Is God WAEC
or chairman of the Oxford University examination board? If he had studied,
he would have passed his exams but he spent his time indulging in other
unproductive activities expecting God to perform one form of a miracle for
him to pass. It’s very funny. Cursing God or blaspheming is punishable by
death.

Numbers 14: 1- 4
So all the congregation lifted up their voices and cried, and the people
wept that night. And all the children of Israel complained against Moses
and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them,” If only we had
died in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness! Why
has the Lord brought us to this land to fall by the sword, that our wives
and children should become victims? Would it not be better for us to
return to Egypt?”.

Despite all the miracles God showed to the children of Israel from the Land
of Egypt, they cursed God by complaining and murmuring over the evil
report given out by the men who spied the promise land with Joshua and
Caleb. Blasphemy attracts God’s anger. When you speak against God, it’s a
sign of your unbelief in him.

Numbers 14: 11
Then the Lord said to Moses: “How long will these people reject me? And
how long will they not believe Me, with all the signs which I have
performed among them?
So what actually happened to the Israelite when they spoke against God
according to Numbers chapter 14? Let look at it below:

28
 He promised to kill them before reaching their promise land which he

 Instead of 40 days’ journey, they used 40 years. They were delayed.
Your destiny will be delayed if you are a complainer against God vs

 They were defeated by their enemies because God was not with them.
Vs 41-45

These are exactly what befalls any man who curses God. It as dangerous
as ever. The slightest Challenge we insult God. As long as we follow God,
difficulties will definitely come our way. Those who endure to the end are those
who will witness the mightiness of God. Jesus Christ already told us, whatever
they did to him will be done to us. The assurance of God’s deliverance like he
did for the three Hebrew men and Daniel is an evidence that he will definitely see
us through our hard times. Speaking against God provokes his wrath and gives a
good ground for a curse to function in our life. God have Mercy!

Chapter 11
THE CURSE THAT COMES ON THE WICKED.

Proverbs 3:33
The curse of the Lord is in the house of the wicked………...
Curses you must escape

What does it mean to be wicked? What are the signs of wickedness? The
International Standard Bible encyclopaedia defines wickedness as the state
of having mental disregard for justice, righteousness, truth, honour and
virtue. Wicked men always have evil thought and life; depravity;
sinfulness; criminality and others. Wickedness actually begins with a
thought, then a deed, then a character and finally a destiny.
The wicked continuous to devise mischief and continuous to sow discord.
The wicked are happy when their neighbours are unhappy and rowing
about issues of life. There are people who are not satisfied until they have
caused harm to their fellow human. Some use all means to bring down their
fellow. As you work your way hard to move to the top, they’re busily
working hard to bring you down. The wicked are very deceptive and keeper
of evil secret to cause harm tomorrow, like Absalom. They twist the truth
and deceive people from knowing the truth. For example, it is wickedness
that calls abortion, which is the murder of an unborn child, “the right of the
mother to her privacy”. It is wickedness that call homosexuality which is an
abomination to God and men an “alternative lifestyle”.
The curse of the Lord is in the house of the wicked. Misfortunes inflict him
and he will be finally cut off. The blessing of the Lord rest upon the home
and the doings of the righteous.

Proverbs 3:33
The curse of the Lord is on the house of the wicked, but he blesses the
home of the just.

Job 8:22
Those who hate you will be clothed with shame, the dwelling place of the
wicked will come to nothing.
Those who practice wickedness have their destruction to be sudden. They
fall into their own pit with their entire house.
A good example of a wicked person in the bible is Jezebel. She wasn’t just
a whore but a butchering murderous witch. She was a worshipper of Baal
and she determined to convert her nation to the same religion. In other to
achieve her wicked intentions, she butchered as many Jewish prophets as
she could. Despite all her wickedness, she came to a ruinous end when she
was cast from a window by three eunuchs. She was trampled to death by
horses and eventually eaten by dogs, leaving behind only her feet, skull and

hands. 2 kings 9 :32-35. The abodes of the wicked, has no blessing from on

Chapter 12
THE CURSE OF COMMITING MURDER.
The Webster New World College Dictionary defines murder as the
unlawful and malicious or premeditated killing of one human being by
another. The first murder that took place on the earth was the killing of
Abel by Cain. Gen. 4:7-8. Murder is a horrible crime against God and
fellow humans. Murder is actually a characteristic of the devil. John 8:44.
Curses you must escape

Whoever engages in such act is fulfilling the works of the devil. Imagine
taking a person’s life and that person goes to hell immediately without
having the opportunity to be saved. Man’s entrance into life is controlled by
God. God introduced human on earth, which means, he is the only one who
can show human9L= exit from the earth.
Life is a gift from God. Because of how precious life is to God, He had to
set a commandment to fence it and preserve it. When you engage in any
form of murder, you deny your fellow human the likeness of God.

Exodus 20:13
“You shall not commit murder”

1 Samuel 2: 6
The Lord killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and
bringeth up.

Murder comes in different forms. Physical killing i.e. taking another human
life, personal killing (suicide), physician assisted killing, and pre-natal
murder (abortion). It is possible to murder another human and not shed
blood, or even take their life. Murder can happen in the heart and mind. For
example, malice is a mental murder. When you hate your brother, you have
committed murder. Unfortunately, many don’t see some of these things as a
problem, but in the Lord’s eye we are just as guilty of the sin of murder. 1
John 3:15
Murder is one of the sins on the increase in these last days. It is one of the
works of the flesh taking hold of the world. Gal. 5:21
Society seem to view the unborn human as just so much waste material to
be thrown away at the mother’s convenience. They don’t know abortion is
murder, an abomination against God. Destroying destinies. A destiny is a
purpose of God on earth. Abortion is terminating Gods will to be done on
earth. Jeremiah 1:5.
Ever since abortion was legalised in some countries, millions of abortion
incidences has been recorded in these countries, and so called human right
activist claim it’s the mothers right of choice. God have mercy! Didn’t she
know she will get pregnant when having sexual intercourse?
Without apology, I want to stress the fact that, abortion is murder. When
you commit abortion or assist in it, you are nothing but a murderer.

Some countries have also legalised physician-assisted suicide. All you have
to do is to just go to the doctor and be put to death in the office with the

Isa. 59 :3.
For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with
iniquity………...

Anyone who commits murder has defiled his hands. If your hands are
defiled, it means it can’t produce any result. Prosperity will be far from
you.

Genesis 9:6
“Whoever sheds man’s blood, by man his blood shall be shed; for in the
image of God he made man”.

A murder is a destroyer of God’s image. Anybody who engages in such act

exposes himself to the pursuit of the avenger of blood. Deu. 19 :11-13. It is
the avengers right and duty to slay the murderer. Taking a close study of
the murder of Abel by Cain, the blood of the murdered cries for vengeance
against the murderer. Gen 4:10. It is very important to consider our ways
and not to open any door for the devil to have its way in our lives.

God instituted sex as means of procreation and pleasure in marriage. Our

sexuality is a part of who and what we are, a good gift of God given to bind

sex within marriage without an agreeable reason 1 Corinthians 7:1-15.
Across the world is the widespread of sexual immorality such as
masturbation, fornication, adultery, homosexuality, lesbianism, adultery,
animals having sexual intercourse with humans, prostitution, gays and
others. Fathers are having affair with their daughters, mothers are having
affair with their sons, father in-law having affair with their daughter in –
laws, mother in-law having affair with their son in-laws, so called love
birds stay together under the same roof whiles they are not legally married
and classify that also as marriage. What a shock?
I now hear another type of sex called Anal sex. What? It’s almost like
sexual immorality has now become a cheap commodity on the market.
Pornography has now become one of the most profitable online business
avenue where millions of youth are engaging in it. All these sexual
immoralities have opened doors for lascivious spirit, perversion and
uncleanness to flood the souls of men. Demons have influx the body and
soul of men and these demons control and dominate the life of people until
they enslave them and ultimately kill them.
Revelation18 :1-3
After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having
great authority, and the earth was illuminated with his glory. And he
cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, “Babylon the great is fallen, is
fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every
foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird! For all the
nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings
of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of
the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury”.

Our bodies are the temple of the Lord, whoever defiles it, he God will
destroy. God hates sexual immorality because it makes a mockery of the
significant physical and spiritual union bound up in sexual relationship.
Sexual sin degrades and misuses the body which God dwells as his temple.

1 Corinthians 6:15-20
Curses you must escape

Do you know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take
the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly
not! Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with
her? For “the two”, he says “shall become one flesh but he who is joined
to the Lord is one spirit with him. Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a
man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins
against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of
the holy spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not
your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore, glorify God in your
body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Those who commit sexual immorality without repentance will face God’s
righteous judgment. Whoever involves him/herself in sexual immorality
attracts wrath of God. You destroy your body and denies it the proper way
to function.
Surprisingly, it’s like there is the rising of Sodom and Gomorrah in our
generation. There is so much practice of evil deeds and lot of sexual
immoral practices. Our generation now see sexual sin like an act of
entertainment, whereas it is a great abomination in God’s eyes. The
destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah was so great because, sexual sin was
very prevalent in the country. Men had sex with men, women had sex with
women leaving the natural way God instituted for sex to take place.
Genesis 19:4-5
Now before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both
old and young, all the people from every quarter, surrounded the house.
And they called to Lot and said to him, “where are the men who came to
you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may know them carnally”

The wrath of God came mightily on the two cities, Sodom and Gomorrah.
He rained fiery sulphur on the cities which destroyed completely all the
people and everything they had, except lot and the family who escaped. To
this day, the area where Sodom and Gomorrah was located remains a
desolate wasteland. Sodom and Gomorrah serves as a great example of how
God feels about sexual misconducts and immorality.
I pity the so called countries who claim to legalise gay marriage, lesbianism
and promoting all manner of sexual misconducts. They are calling for
nothing but a curse upon themselves. They will surely become desolate.
That’s the more reason for the increase in disasters and other horrible
events wasting away their resources. Look at how such people behave.
Curses you must escape

They do things that is beyond human reasoning. The high rate of murder
and other criminal activities is a sign that demons are taking over, the
kingdom of darkness is in charge because, God’s presence is withdrawn
where there is darkness. You can’t mock God; you will surely pay for what
you sow. Check the influx of all manner of sexually transmitted diseases
like HIV/AIDS and others which doesn’t have a cure. Where are they from?
These are demonic strongholds, holding destinies because of sexual
immorality. Our world is getting poorer and poorer because of so much sin.
God comes down harder on sexual sins. The curse of sexual immorality is
real and its working more in our generation. The ultimate price for un-
repented sexual immorality is death and total destruction. It’s time for a
wakeup call for the truth to be known. You must escape the curse of sexual
immorality.

Chapter 14
THE CURSE OF OPPOSING THE WILL OF GOD.

The will of God is his plan and scheme for his children. It reveals the mind
and purpose of God. It is through his will that his nature is manifested and
his sovereignty prevails. His will extends his kingdom here on earth; that’s
why Jesus emphasised that we should pray for his will to be done in our
lives.
1 Samuel 2:10 NIV
Those who oppose the Lord will be broken. The most high will thunder
from heaven; the Lord will judge the ends of the earth. “He will give
strength to his king and exalt the horn.”
One of the most dangerous things to do is to oppose the will of God. I have
seen people who have been wasted because they decided to fight against the
will of God. When you rise against his will, you turn to be his enemy and
Curses you must escape

he will definitely break you into pieces. Fighting against God’s will is
fighting against God himself and you can’t fight with God, you know that!

Acts 5: 38-39
“………………And now I say to you, keep away from these men and let
them alone; for if this plan or this work is of men, it will come to nothing;
but if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it- lest you even be found to fight
against God”

The apostles went through so many trails and opposition by the priest and
council to stop them from spreading the gospel, which was the will of God.
Thank God for the life of Gamaliel, who understood the danger of fighting
against the will of God. Anything you are not sure of to be the will of God,
keep your figures crossed, anything which is not of God will definitely not
stand.
One person I am so sorry for is pharaoh. When God decided to deliver his
children from bondage. He rose to oppose the will of God by preventing the
children of Israel from obeying God. Count the number of plagues and
destructions that came upon him and the entire land of Egypt. At last, his
empire was destroyed and he was drowned in the red sea together with his
army.

Exodus 5:1-2
Afterward Moses and Aaron went in and told Pharaoh, “Thus says the
Lord God of Israel: ‘Let my people go, that they may hold a feast to Me in
the wilderness”. And Pharaoh said, “Who is the Lord, that I should obey
his voice to let Israel go? I do not know the Lord, nor will I let Israel go”

The strong hand of God is against any man or woman who fights his will.

Exodus 6:1
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Now you shall see what I will do to
pharaoh. For with a strong hand he will let them go, and with a strong
hand he will drive them out of his land”
Curses you must escape

God’s promises are sure and he is faithful to fulfil them. God will certainly
respond against those that oppose him, his people and his promises.
The purpose of the enemy’s opposition is to frustrate the will of God from
being fulfilled. Nehemiah suffered so much frustration and opposition from
Sanballat and Tobias just to stop him and the children of God from
rebuilding the broken wall. Anything we do which is from God will attract
the enemy’s opposition. From the beginning he the devil and his agents
have the agenda to contend with the purpose and plans of God for his
children, but the good news is, we have the promise and the assurance of
God that, any opposer of his will, shall be crushed. Their future will be
terrible. Never decide to oppose the will of God, you are fighting a battle
you can’t win.

Chapter 15
WHEN ҮOU CURSE THE BLESSED.

Gen. 12: 3
And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth
thee…………

The revelation behind blessing and cursing was given to Abraham by God
and was handed down to the children of Israel through Abraham. Balaak
tried to curse the children of Israel to bring harm upon them because of the
fear he had for them. God did mighty things with the children. The crossing
the red sea and defeating other nations, placed much fear in Balaak hence,
he desired harm for them, but it failed. This is because, the children of
Israel carried the promise of blessing, so the curse pronounced upon them
was rather turned into blessing.
Numbers 24:9
“…………. Blessed is he who blesses you, and cursed is he who curses
you”
Curses you must escape

God’s word does not fail; it will surely be accomplished. Anyone who
blesses those blessed by God will be blessed. Anyone that curses those
blessed by God verbally or through their actions instantly curses
themselves.
Let’s take the children of Israel for example, they are the makeup of the
Abrahamic covenant. They are a blessed nation.
In the second half of the 13th Century, the Jews in England suffered severe
persecution and were even banned from England in 1290. It was not until
1657 that the Protestant leader of England, Oliver Cromwell, allowed the
Jews to return. England immediately prospered as a nation. The pro- Jewish
politics were set forth by the Dutch stadtholder William III, who then
became king of England. England then grew to be one of the most powerful
kingdoms the world has ever known. At the height of its power, in 1917,
England gave the Jews the right to return to the promised land, which at
that time was called Palestine. That right was later officially recognised by
the league of Nations and the United Nations. However, a few years later,
England betrayed the Jews by choosing sides with the hostile Arabs. As a
result, England went downhill fast and in 1956 the British prime minister
signed “over to you” to the president of the United states. Since then the
United States has become the most powerful country in the world. A
researcher recently reports that, there are more than twenty cases in which a
disaster in the United States coincided with American pressure on Israel to
give land to the Arabs. “I will bless those that bless you and curse those that
curse you” is a historical pattern that continues today.
Look at Joseph and his brethren. No matter what they did against him, he
continued to be a blessing. Watch out for those who manifest the presence
of God’s blessings upon them. Don’t fight them else you are digging your
own grave. Every Curse or wickedness you met out against them will return
back upon your own head.
Isaac suffered in the land of Gerar. The people envied him. They attacked
what he laboured to have. They took everything from him. That is the story
of many whom God is blessing. All manner of attacks and persecutions.
Accusations which does not hold water.
When you try to curse a blessed man who is walking faithfully before God,
you are bringing a great doom upon yourself.
Let us learn to tap into the wisdom and grace that operates in the life of a
blessed man, than attacking and cursing them. It’s actually a waste of time.
You bring problems rather to yourselves.

Zechariah 2:8
For thus says the Lord of hosts: “He sent me after glory, to the nations
which plunder you: for he who touches you touches the apple of his eyes.
For surely I will shake my hand against them, and they shall become
spoil for their servants. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has
sent me.

Chapter 16
THE CURSE OF MISLEADING THE BLIND.

Aside the actual physical blindness, the blind in this context can be referred
to as those who are in the dark upon any matter. It can also refer to the
simple soul, those who have no idea or lack relevant information about a
situation. It can also be defined as those who are blinded by problems and
frustrations of life. People can be so troubled to the point whereby it can
close their eyes to the reality of life.

Deuteronomy 27:18
‘Cursed is the one who makes the blind to wander off the
road.’………………

When we direct such people wrongly, give evil counsel which leads them
to take wrong steps whether in civil, moral or religious issues, we are
attracting nothing but curses to ourselves. We are to assist the ignorant and
bring them to light. Some men of God capitalise on the desperation of the
people and give all manner of directions and teachings which is highly
contrary to the word of God. We are the eyes to the blind but rather not
mislead them.

Job 29: 14-16

I put on righteousness, and it clothed me; My justice was like a robe and
a turban. I was eyes to the blind, and I was feet to the lame. I was a father
to the poor, and I searched out the case that I did not know.

There are countless people who call themselves counsellors or advisers but
all they do is to feed the simple with lies. Their advice has caused others to
break their homes, destroy their destiny, fall into terrible and dangerous
situation and died at last.

Revelation 2:14
But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who
hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block
before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to
commit sexual immorality.

There is only one thing for such folks. You bring curse upon yourself for
such acts. False prophets in this end time who claim to be from God but
they twist the word of God, misleading the masses in the body of Christ.
The reward of leading with deception and craftiness is nothing but a curse
from the Lord. God have mercy!

Chapter 17
THE CURSE OF ASSOCIATING WITH ACCURSED THINGS.

Joshua 7:1
But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for
Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe
of Judah, took of the accursed thing: and the anger of the lord was
kindled against the children of Israel.

Associating with accursed things, place or people influx you with the curse.
This is one particular subject which is mostly overlooked. Joshua and the
children of Israel had experienced only victory in most of their battles, but
in Chapter 7 vs 1 it was a defeat. They lost to the small town Ai. Thirty-six
men died and the army of Israel were severely frightened.

Joshua 6:18
And you, by all means abstain from the accursed things, lest you become
accursed when you take of the accursed things, and make the camp of
Israel a curse and trouble it.

God warned the children of Israel from taking anything that was cursed.

children of Israel from getting to the promise land. The anger of God came
upon the nation and was utterly destroyed except Rehab and the family who
was in favour of the will of God. Everything in the land of Jericho came
under destruction and the curse of God. Unfortunately, Achan took some of
the accursed things and brought it into the camp and that attracted the anger
of God upon the entire nation of Israel, because God had already told them
that anything cursed found in their might would definitely bring a curse on
them. A curse is contagious. When you associate with accursed thing you
automatically influx yourself with the curse.

Joshua 7:11-13
Israel has sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which I
commanded them. For they have even taken some of the accursed things,
and have both stolen and deceived; and they have also put it among their
own stuff. Therefore, the children of Israel could not stand before their
enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because have
become doomed to destruction. Neither will I be with you anymore, unless
you destroy the accursed from among you. Get up, sanctify the people,
and say, ‘Sanctify yourselves for tomorrow, because thus says the Lord
God of Israel: “There is an accursed thing in your midst, O Israel; you
cannot stand before your enemies until you take away the accursed thing
from among you”.

Why does associating with an accursed thing influx one with the curse.
Most importantly, God does not want us to have fellowship with sinners or
anything that goes contrary to his commands and words, lest we share in
their guilt.
Let’s take for example, the word of God has declared that, the wicked is
under a curse. There are people who associate and support them to pursue
their wicked deeds. They rally behind the wicked and encourage
wickedness. You are actually inviting nothing but a curse upon your own
self.

Proverbs 24:24-25
He who says to the wicked, “you are righteous, him the people will curse;
Nations will abhor him, but those who rebuke the wicked will have
delight, and a good blessing will come upon them.

God was no more with the children of Israel so the enemies defeated them.
God turns his back on those who associate with cursed things. Everything
will work against you.
It is very important that we don’t live careless and greedy lives. Be cautious
of the things, people and place you associate yourself with to prevent the
wrath of God upon you.

Deuteronomy 7: 26
Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a
cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly
abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.

Chapter 18

THE CURSE OF DECEIVING AND LҮING TO SUCCEED.

Proverbs 21:6 BBE

He who get stores of wealth bү a false tongue, is going after what is onlү
breath, and seacrhing for death

A lie is a false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive.

Deceit is “act or practice intended to mislead by a false appearance or
Statement. (Random House College Dictionary)

The difference is that a lie is generally spoken but deceit includes anything,
whether words or deeds that are intended to lead people to believe what is
not true.

Lies and deceit comes in specific kinds. It could be

1. An outright falsehood, where the person knows he has spoken lies.
2. False promises, where some people make promises they have no
intention of keeping or know they cannot keep.
3. Flattery, which often people want to make favourable impression, so
they say nice things that they don’t really want or don’t really believe to
be true.
4. False doctrine. When religious teaching is presented as truth even though
it cannot be proved by the bible.

Jeremiah 14:14
Then Lord said to unto me, the prophets prophesy lies in my name: I
sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto
Curses you must escape

them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing
of nought, and the deceit of their heart.

5. Hypocrisy. A hypocrite is deceiver because he pretends to be something

he knows he is not. He tries to give other people the impression he is
more righteous than he really is.
1 Timothy 4:2
Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot
iron

6. Half-truth: Some think they are innocent as long as they say what is
technically true, even though they intend to mislead others to believe
what is not true. It is possible to tell things that are technically true, yet
we leave out pertinent facts or otherwise so speak that we lead others to
believe our truths. A good example in the bible is Gen 37:28, where
Joseph’s brothers sold him to the Midianites, dipped his coat in blood,
brought it to Jacob and said “We found this coat. Does It look like your
sons or not”? They omitted pertinent facts so they could lead Jacob to
believe a wild animal had killed Joseph.

7. Self-deception. One of the saddest forms of deceit is self-deception.

People who don’t want to face reality can sometimes convince
themselves to believe things that; they really know are not true.

1 Corinthians 3:18
Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise
in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.

People use lying and deception for various reasons. Either;

1. For selfish or personal gain. Galatians 31:7
2. As a result of their pride and envy. People tell lies because they want
people to think they are better than they really are.
3. To Cover up a sin or commit other acts they want to hide from others.
4. Misguided love/kindness. Some people tell lies just to avoid causing
problems for others or even just avoid hurting their feelings. Young
people often think that loyalty means they should lie to protect their
friends.
Curses you must escape

When one tries to succeed by using lies and deception, he brings nothing but
curses upon himself. Ananias and Saphira died in the house of God for their act.

Psalm 59:12
For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in
their pride; and for cursing and lying which they speak.
Lying and deception has much power to destroy people reputation. It breaks
the ability for people to trust you. All over people are trying to use deceit and lies
to survive. Internet fraud and other dubious avenues are widely used recently by
people to deceive others and acquire wealth for themselves. Wealth and success
acquired this way is subjected to devourers of life. The blessing of the Lord is far
from it. It’s rather under a curse. Liars if they don’t repent will be condemned to
the eternal fire. Revelation 21:8

Chapter 19
THE ULTIMATE ROOT CAUSE.
Curses have long standing catastrophic effects. A person under a curse is
easy to recognise, because he will be struggling in life against something
that leads to success. At the point of success, frustration comes in and limit
the person. It protects evil spirit and give them legal grounds to operate. It
is very important to identify the root cause that brings all these curses upon
ourselves. The answer is simple, DISOBEDIENCE. Disobedience to the
word of God makes us yield to our self-will instead of surrendering to God
and desiring his will in all things.

Deuteronomy 11 :26-28
“Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse: the blessing, it you
obey the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you
today; and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the Lord
your God, but turn aside from the way which I command you today, to go
after other gods which you have not known.

The fall of man from the days Adam and Eve which made the curse of God
to be actualised was due to the disobedience of the commandment of God.
Adam and Eve were cast out of abundance in Eden when they followed the
serpent and not the revealed will of God.
It is very important to note that God calls his children to faithfully follow
his word. We follow Christ today and not the law but it also calls us to be
obedient to his word if we say we love God. Disobedience breeds a curse.
Curses you must escape

Chapter 20
BUT THERE IS HOPE.
There is still hope even if we have involved ourselves in things that has attracted
these curses upon us. Its sound depressing and hopeless but it’s not. God has a
way out for us because he is a loving father. At this point I want to suggest to us
some possible means of coming out and be totally delivered from all manner of
curses.

James 5:16
Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, and
that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man
avails much.
The beginning point for having freedom and deliverance from curses is
confession and true repentance from every sin committed either by
ourselves or our parent or our great – grand parents, our cities or our nation.
There is a spiritual curse yoked to sin. The sacrifice Jesus made on the
cross cleanses us from our sins. When we confess our sins and repent
faithfully, he will not only forgive us of our sins, but he will break the
iniquity with that sin. Jesus shed his blood so that we could not only be
forgiven of our sins but also be healed of our inner iniquities. Only the
blood of Jesus and the sacrifice on the cross provides forgiveness and a new
way of living.

It’s not enough just confessing and going back to our vomit. We must have
true repentance from our sinful deeds. True repentance is more than simply
acknowledging wrong doings. It is a change of mind and heart. True
repentance is the total turning away from sin and turning to God.
Confession and repentance takes away the legal grounds of demons
associated with a curse. It’s important we stop walking in the path of
unrighteousness and walk in the path where we will be a blessing.
After going through this very important steps, the curse needs to be broken
through prayer, sacrifice and the ministry of a prophet. Elisha helped the
land of Jericho to be free from the curse associated with it. 2 kings 2 :19-
22. Reuben had his freedom through the ministry of Moses after suffering
under the curse of his father for years, for having an affair with the father’s
Curses you must escape

wife Deu. 33:6. Another possible means of coming out of a curse is

associating with those who are blessed. Pharaoh’s house became
completely blessed because of Joseph. Laban proclaimed that the coming of
Jacob into his household has brought so much blessing to him and the
entire family. Gen 30:27.
The ultimate key to avoid putting ourselves under a curse is total obedience
to the word of God.
At this point I want you to pray the following prayer points with me
believing God for total deliverance if you have recognised symptoms of a
curse operating in your life.

Colossians 2: 14-15
Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which
was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And
having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly,
triumphing over them in it.

 I ask O Lord to forgive me or my ancestors for any sin that has

exposed me to a curse. I receive your forgiveness and I choose to
forgive those who’ve sinned against me.
 I renounce any and all self-afflicted curses that I’ve pronounced or
invoked on myself, and I break those patterns from my heart and
tongue
 I do once and for all release myself from the power and authorities of
any curse. In Jesus name. Amen

PRAYER FOR SALVATION

The bible says that, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of
God.”(Romans 3:23)

There is nothing that we can do on our own to restore our

relationship with God. That is why he sent His son, Jesus, to die for
us, taking upon himself the punishment for our sins in order that we
might walk freely. However, we all have a choice to make. We can
choose to accept that we are sinners, which simply means that we
have missed the mark, or we can go on living our own life, never
experiencing the tender mercies and goodness of God’s heart
towards us.
The bible tells us we must then confess with our mouths that Jesus is
Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised him from the dead
and we will be saved. Romans 10:10

If you would like to know Jesus for yourself, receiving his lordship in
your life, living according to his word and being put right with him,
you can pray this simple prayer:
Father, thank you for sending your son Jesus to die on the
cross on my behalf. The bible says that if I confess with my
mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in my heart that God
raised him from the dead, I will be saved. I now confess that
Jesus is my lord and believe in my heart that you raised him
from the dead and therefore I am saved.
I ask for your forgiveness of sins, please cleanse me from all
sin and give me a brand new start. Come into my heart and
fill me with your holy spirit. I choose to live for you for the
rest of my life.
In Jesus name, Amen.
