TUJUAN PEMBELAJARAN
Setelah mengikuti proses pembelajaran, peserta didik diharapkan dapat:

1.Membedakan fungsi sosial, struktur teks, dan unsur kebahasaan beberapa teks

deskriptif lisan dan tulis dengan memberi dan meminta informasi terkait tempat
bersejarah atau terkenal di sekitar lingkungan/ daerah tempat tinggal siswa, pendek
dan sederhana, sesuai dengan konteks penggunaannya

2.Menangkap makna secara kontekstual terkait fungsi sosial, struktur teks, dan unsur
kebahasaan teks deskriptif lisan dan tulis, pendek dan sederhana terkait tempat

DescriptiveText
Is a kind of text that we use when we want to describe something or
someone. It says what a person or a thing is like.
The purpose:
To describe a particular person, object, and place. It describes the
characteristics or features of a person, object, or place specifically.
The structure:
• Identification, which identifies the phenomenon to be described.
• Description, which describes parts, qualities or characteristics of the person,
object or place being described.

Language Features:
words or phrase related to describe tourist spots
use mostly simple present tense, such as ; The island is famous for its
underwater scenery and peaceful nuance.
Adverb such as quite, very, extremely etc
Adjective such as awesome, incredible, enormous, small, etc
Noun phrase ; dense trees, breezy wind
adverb of time and place ; near Sabang city, when exploring the island

SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE

The simple present tense is one of several


forms of present tense in English. It is used
to describe habits, unchanging situations,
general truths, and fixed arrangements.

FORM/PATTERN :
NOTES ON THE SIMPLE PRESENT, THIRD PERSON
SINGULAR
In the third person singular the verb always ends in -s: he wants, she
needs, he gives, she thinks.
Negative and question forms use DOES (= the third person of the
auxiliary 'DO') + the infinitive of the verb. He wants ice cream. Does he
want strawberry? He does not want vanilla.
Add -es to verbs ending in:-ss, -x, -sh, -ch: he passes, she catches, he
fixes, it pushes
Verbs ending in -y : the third person changes the -y to -ies: fly --> flies,
cry --> cries
Exception: if there is a vowel before the -y: play --> plays, pray --> prays
TIME EXPRESSIONS:
