Steps to Setup Virtual Machine and installing Windows 11 pro in VM.

Step 1: Firstly, We Download the VirtualBox Windows Host in one of our group member Laptop.

Step 2: After downloading Windows host of VirtualBox, Then we Setup the VirtualBox.
Step 3: We wait for the Setup Wizard to install the VitualBox. As you can see in the above picture it
took several minutes to download.

Step 4: We scroll down to where it says download windows 11 disk image (ISO) and chose the option
windows 11 (multi-edition ISO) and click download.
Step 5: After step 4 It will take us down to select the product language and we clicked confirm.

Step 6: After that It shows us this download link for the windows 11 English version as we have
chosen and it’s 64-bit. We clicked the download link and it’s about 5 gigabytes.
Step 7: We head back to the VirtualBox Software and create a new virtual machine, then we named
it as Windows 11 pro and click next.

Step 8: Next we chose the memory size depending on how much memory we have on our system
and we can choose the amount of memory we want to use. We select around 4 gigabytes and
clicked next.
Step 9: Create a virtual machine disk.
Step 10: We chose VDI here for the file type and clicked next.
Step 11: We chose dynamic allocated storage because it will change in size when you need it and
clicked next.
Step 12: We can choose the size of drive that we want to use so we use 80 gigabytes and clicked
create.
Step 13: After creating a Virtual Machine, we start the virtual machine.
Step 14: This is the windows setup part in VirtualBox. We clicked next and it shows setup is starting.
Step 15: Since we don’t have a product key for the windows, we chose I don’t have the product key
option and clicked next.

Step 16: Next I select windows 11 pro Operating system.

Step 17: Then I get this error message. The reason for this error is because I have already installed it
in the past on VirtualBox. I was using the windows inside a preview program and Microsoft allowed
me to do it. Thus, now I can’t use that method. So now I need to enable TPM and also secure boot
on this VMware.
Step 18: To do that I need to power off the machine.

Step 19: Restart the virtual machine and the bootup process of our windows 11 iso will bring us to
this page. In here we push shift and f10.
Step 20: The previous step will open up the prompt window like this. We type regedit in here to
open up the registry editor inside our command prompt here.

Step 21: This opens up the registry editor as you can see and we need to navigate to a path which is
a computer hkey local machine system.
Step 22: Then we need to go to setup so once we’re there in setup we stay in the setup folder
because we're going to need to create a new key inside setup.

Step 23: Named the key as LabConfig.

Step 24: We enter the key and create a new DWORD 32-bit value.

Step 25: We named it BypassSecureBootCheck and give the value as 00000001 and clicked ok.

Step 26: Create another new DWORD 32-bit value and name it BypassTPMCheck and give the same
value as the previous. After this we can close the registery editor and prompt window.
Step 27: The changes will bypass the error message we had previously. Now we accept the terms
and conditions.

Step 28: We chose Custom for the type of installation.

Step 29: It brings us to this page and we clicked next.

Step 30: It is installing the windows and shoes the status of installation.
Step 31: The bootup process of our windows 11 iso loads.
Step 32: Brings us to this pages where we select the country and the input method and clicked yes.
Step 33: Add our Microsoft account. Chose the privacy settings for our device and clicked next.
Step 34: This is the last step where we can see windows 11 running in the VirtualBox.
