Go-around / Missed approach

Go around procedure
A go-around accurs when an aircraft makes the decision not to continue
an approach, or not to continue a landing, and follows procedures to conduct
another approach or diver to another airport.

Missed approach procedure

A missed approach procedure is the procedure to be followed if an

instrument approach can not be continued. It specifies a point where the
missed approach begins, and a point or an altitude / height where it ends.

When should pilots perform a missed approach / go around procedure?

- The required visual references have not been established at DA /DH,

or at MDA / MDH (runway is not insight)
- In case of an unstabilized approach
- Runway incursion
- The runway is obstructed
- Landing clearance has not been received or cancelled
- Requested by controllers
