In the table above, thirty-four of the students surveyed are aged 18 years old. Among 128 respondents,
at least 18 years old, comprising the majority group as to age. There is only 1 respondent who is 15 years
of age, 21 respondents aged 16,77 respondents are aged 17, and there are two respondents are aged
19. The table shows the majority of the respondents are in legal age. There are more female
respondents in this study than male, 110 and 18, respectively. When it comes to monthly family income,
about 69.5 % of families earn less than Php 9,520.00 each month while 14.8 percent of respondents
come from families with annual incomes ranging from Php. 9,520.00 to Php. 19,040.00 9,520.00. On the
other hand 14.1 % of respondents belong to families who earn low middle income with Php 19,041.00 to
Php. 38,080.00 while the .8% of respondents belong to family who earn between Php 38,081.00 and Php
66,640.00 and same with .8% respondents who earn upper middle income with Php 66,641.00 to
114,240.00. Researchers have purposively selected four sections of ABM students with a total of 8
sections were selected as participants with 32 respondents each. There are 128 respondents in total.

The table shows that more than half of the respondents in the First Grading of the First Semester of
School Year 2021-2022 obtained a grade between 90 and 94 (75, 59%) while less than a half number of
respondents obtained a grade of 75 through 89 (52, 41%). On the other hand, One-percent of the
respondents obtained a grade of 95 and above (1, 0.8%).

Abstract

Adolescent have higher tendency to experience peer pressure in school. Peer pressure is clustered in
four categories such as social belongingness, curiosity, cultural-parenting orientation of parents and
education, this research design used is descriptive correlation. The researchers conducted the survey
among the students in the Senior High School. With 128 respondents who completed the survey.
Quantitative data were processed by using chi-square. The result would show the correlation between
the perceived level of peer pressure in terms of social belongingness, curiosity, cultural-parenting
orientation of parents and education. Generally, students are expected to face the effects of peer
pressure optimistically to cope up the negative impact of peer pressure in their studies. Students may
use positive or negative approach towards peer pressure. Teacher may guide and help them in facing
the problems.
