Research Procedures

Preliminary Procedures. The following preliminary preparations were done to ensure


the credibility and validity of the gathered data. The researchers presented the different
questions and test that could determine the STEM students mental health during
pandemic. Such as - how they cope up with the pandemic and psychological and
physical tests. After the research adviser approved the physical and psychological test
and questionnaires, the researchers submitted the physical and psychological test and
questionnaire results to school nurse for critiquing. Once the research instrument was
approved, the researchers presented a letter of permission to the principal of DLS
ASMC. The letter was noted, approved, and signed by the research instructor and vice-
chancellor for academics and research and basic education principal.

Data-Gathering Procedure. The survey was administered to the SHS STEM students
of De La Salle Andres Soriano Memorial College the approval of the school’s principal.
The researchers also presented a letter of permission to the subject teachers so that
they will be aware of the test administration and will be able to plan the schedule with
the researchers and excuse the respondents on the period allotted for the test. After the
administration of the tests, the data were collected, tabulated, analyzed, and interpreted
using statistical techniques in order to generate valid and sound conclusions.

Statistical Treatment. The following are the statistical tools that were used for the
quantitative evaluation of the data: Mean, Median, Mode, Sampling and Standard
Deviation. So that the result of your study are precise.

Proportion. This formula was used in the presentation of the respondents' profile,
learning style profile, coping to the new normal setting and surviving pandemic having
anxiety.

Weighted Mean. This formula was used to analyze the SHS STEM Students mental
health during pandemic and its impact.

Chi Square. This formula was used to determine the relationship

between the variables of the study.
