Insight Paper: Students you may answer and elaborate on the following topics:

Why is an art not nature? Art has differences from nature that set it apart. Art is not nature
because nature lacks symbolism whereas art does. Nature can be the subject of art, but that does
not automatically make nature art. For instance, when a painter or an illustrator uses a tool such
as a paintbrush or a pencil to create art, the material itself is not art until it is used to create an
actual work of art. While there is no doubt that artists can use elements of nature to inspire their
work, nature itself is merely a tool and not an art.

Why is art ageless and timeless?

Art is symbolic, after all. All works of art are produced within the time period in which the
artist lived. Art is a record of a live century or time. Even after an artist passes away, their work
will still be remembered and significant. If you are a great fan of art, you will undoubtedly feel
the artist's work and that is what gives the art life anytime you view an artist's piece and are
aware of the history of how they expressed their own sentiments and emotions through it. Art
has been around for centuries, and many new artists are generating art today. It is not timeless
or ageless because it is a historical record that endures forever.

Why does art involve experience?

Art is an artistic manifestation of self-expression that reflects your life and experiences, just like
when you fantasize or use your imagination. Art cannot simply be created without including
experience. We all have differences and we view things differently, therefore your experiences
form all of your art, just as anyone else's experiences shape theirs. For example, everything you
have been through up to this point has affected how you see the colors, the details, and how
you look at it.
