It is for information of all concerned that in view of the GOI regulations on curbing the menace of ragging in higher
educational institutions and as per the provisions of the lnstilute's Ordinance on Code and Conduct of Students, an
lnstitute level anti-ragging committee and the respective squads have been constituted as below:
A) lnstitute Level Anti-Ragging Committee (with g-'15 persons)
B) Institute Level Anti-Ragging Squad (with minimum 4 persons)
C) Hostel Level Anti-Ragging Squad (with minimum 4 persons)
D) Departmental Anti-Ragging Squad (with minimum 3 members)

Anti-Ragging Squads
AII disciplinary committees, representatives of which are inter alia part of the above anti-ragging committee, shall
act as Anti-Ragging squads. While the respective committees will have constant vigilance against any incident
of ragging in their territory of departmenUhostel as per the provisions of the lnstitute's Ordinance on Code and
Conduct, the committees shall also make surprise inspections in hostels, and other vulnerable places having
the potential of ragging. For the purpose of surprise checks, the committees can coopt more members of
employees/office bearers, with information to Students' Affairs Section.
The anti-ragging squads shall generally conducl an on{he-spot enquiry into any incident of ragging and the
enquiry report along with recommendations shall be submitted to the Chairman, Anti-Ragging Committee for
necessary aclion. Further, the squads in any case, will submit a summary of incidents reported and the
respective actions, or nil incident report in case of no such incident encountered, in a prescribed format for every
fortnight during the first three months of the academic year/ resumption of offline classes. This mmmittee is for
the Academic year 2022-23.fhe Chairman, Anti-Ragging Committee shall in turn submit a monthly report to the
Director on the incidents or absence of it.
