Next objective which is enhancing fine motor skills while boosting self-esteem and participation,
so as mentioned children need opportunities to build both fine motor and gross motor skills in
school and at home. There are lots of ways can work with what we have to do some amazing
work on building fine motor skills :

a. Hold a crayon, pencil, and even cut with scissors

b. Children can build shoulder strength when they crawl, when they do crabs walks or wall
push up or wheelbarrows
c. To try to incorporate other skills like alphabet knowledge, counting or shape and color
recognition
d. Coloring
e. Grip

Then, fine gross motor skills like for example We can have children crab walk over to the capital
big or wheelbarrow over to a triangle.

Next, talked about social emotional development and fine motor development. One way to do
this is to have children make feeling sticks, now many feelings can be explored through this
activity and we often begin by using the emotions happy and sad, we can make these feeling
sticks in many different ways all while continuing to build upon their fine motor skills.

In this session show us ways to build vocabulary in language skills through connections and
hands on learning.
a. Hands-on learning & SEL is a key for our students to grow and develop.
b. Boost vocabulary is important because vocabulary is knowledge. When children
grasp a word’s meaning they understand what that word represents and in turn they
understand the relationship of idea and concept that go with that word. We can use
everyday activities to really boost vocabulary therefore during circle time we can ask
question for children suc as what games do you like, During snack time we can ask
what favorite foods, and story time we can say what favorite story book character and
other.
c. Increase language skills, that the more words a student hears by the time they are
three years old the more success they will show in overall academic skills later in life.
Children need situations to talk to their peers to adults in small groups and in one on
one settings. We need to help foster that communication by modeling language for
students and providing examples to increase their language skills.
d. Alphabet knowledge, that children who are able to identify capital and lower case
letters and name those letters of the alphabet early on we’ll have early reading
success. Teaching alphabet is a great way to build partnerships with families and
schools.
e. Building letters are enhanced by the use of multi sensory ands on activity that appeal
to the different senses and make learning fun. We want to tap into the visual learners
to the auditory learners to the tactile owners and to the kinesthetic learners as well
children who learn letter formation learn to recognize letters more quickly.
f. Writing letter
g. Name writing
h. A+ worksheet maker
Conclusion
a. Learners creative ways to boost social-emotional learning in school and at home
b. Energize learning and positive feelings with music and movement throughout the day
c. Identify ways to incorporate fine motor, coloring and drawing skills to boost self-esteem
and participation
d. Build vocabulary and language skills, through thoughtful connections and hands-on
learning
