Title Road to the Revolution


Subject American History

Time duration 50 Minutes
Overview Students will be learning about what led up to the Revolutionary war in the
colonies.
Objective Students will learn about and have a better understand of the economic,
political, and social/cultural development of the events leading to the
American Revolution 
Materials iPads, Google Classroom, Google Slides

Introduction and 8:20-8:25: Students will come into class and get out their iPad and complete
Body the starter that is on the screen in the front of the room. Once the timer is up
Miss Clift will ask students if they have any questions before starting the
lesson for the day.
8:25-8:30: Miss Clift will explain the activity and show an example of the
board. Students will review with the students how to use certain tools.
8:30-9:05 Students will be working on the Digital Snapshot activity. This is
accessible on Google Classroom and uses Google Slides and the internet to
complete. During this time Miss Clift will be monitoring students. Miss
Clift will check in with each group to monitor progress and answer
questions students may have.

Conclusions 9:05-9:10: Miss Clift will wrap up the class. For anything not finished in
class, will be homework and discussed the following class. Students should
be prepared to have a quiz on this material in two days.

Assessments Students will be able to receive immediate feedback for this quiz as it will
be on a Google Form. This assessment will quiz students on economic,
political, and social developments of the events leading to the American
Revolution.
Strategies and
Modifications Physical paper copies can be made easily for any student who struggles
with the technology or who forgets to bring their device to school. Students
will have access to a dictionary on their devices to help clarify any new
vocabulary words. Paper copy of the quiz can be given for students who get
anxiety for seeing all questions at once and may need to only see one
question at a time.
