COUNTY LINES – SCRIPT

(EXT.) TRAIN STATION, EVENING

GEORGE a 15-year-old school boy is sat in the station on his


own waiting when he is approached by two dodgy looking
teenagers dressed as roadmen (BIG MONEY AND SMITHY) start
asking him what he’s doing and if he needs any help

BIG MONEY

Yo boy what you doing out here all alone?

GEORGE

I lost my money so can’t buy a ticket I have to


wait for my mum to finish work.

Big Money looks at Smithy then back at George smirking

BIG MONEY

We can help you out mate.

Big Money nudges Smithy to get some money out, reluctantly he


reaches in his pocket and pulls out a £10 note, Big Money
snatches it and hands it to George.

BIG MONEY

Here, take this get a ticket but remember next time


I see you, you owe me one.

Confused why they’re helping George hesitantly accepts the


money as he really wants to get home

GEORGE

Thank you guys.

BIG MONEY

Don’t worry about it.


(INT.) NEXT DAY ON THE TRAIN, MIDDAY

George is sat on the train on his way home when two loud boys
are walking down the train, it turns out to be Big Money and
Smithy whilst messing around and talking loudly they notice
George sat there.
BIG MONEY

Oi boy didn’t I give you a tenner

Nervously George answers while avoiding eye contact

GEORGE

Uh yeah yeah that’s me

BIG MONEY

Ah sound you got my money?

GEORGE

Um no I don’t have any money on me

BIG MONEY

Ok bro don’t worry about it

SMITHY

Where you going

BIG MONEY

Yeah where you going

GEORGE

Uhm Slough

BIG MONEY

Perfect can you do me a favour then instead?

GEORGE

What kind of favour


Big money hands George a package

BIG MONEY

Just deliver a package for me, won’t take you too


long

GEORGE

What is it

SMITHY

None of your business

BIG MONEY

Yeah just deliver it for us, give me your number


I’ll send you the address

Reluctantly George gives his number to Big Money. Big money


and Smithy get off the train. George sits there nervously and
panicking on what to do next and battling with his conscience
whether he should deliver this package or not.

The train arrives at slough and George sits there zoned out
when he suddenly jumps up and runs off the train with seconds
to spare. He walks out the station looking depressed until he
gets to a t junction and is deciding which way to go, left is
home right is to the drop off when suddenly, a text pops up

BIG MONEY TEXT MESSAGE

Remember kid you owe me

GEORGE TEXT MESSAGE

I know I’m doing it

He looks at the package and regretfully turns right.


(INT.) AT SCHOOL, MIDDAY

George is sat at his computer with his classmates when he gets


a text

BIG MONEY TEXT MESSAGE

Yo boy you deliver that package?

GEORGE TEXT MESSAGE

Yeah, I delivered it. So, we’re all even?

BIG MONEY TEXT MESSAGE

Nah g you’re gunna do one more for me. Meet us at


the station after school.

Camera zooms out on George as he is visibly angry and throws


his phone on the desk annoyed at himself for accepting that
money

RANDOM STUDENT

You alright?

GEORGE

Yeah, I’m fine it’s nothing

As soon as class is over George grabs his bag and goes to


leave

RANDOM STUDENT

George a bunch of us are going park, you wanna


come

GEORGE

Sorry I can’t

RANDOM STUDENT

Ok
(EXT.) STATION, EVENING

George arrives at the station to Big money and Smithy waiting


for him

BIG MONEY

What’s up bro I’ve got something for you

He pulls out a rail card and hands it to George

BIG MONEY

Now you will never miss the train again.

GEORGE

Ahh I can’t accept that it’s too much

BIG MONEY

Well we got it for you so take it

SMITHY

Yeah take it

GEORGE

Okay okay

BIG MONEY

Here take this

Hands him a package

BIG MONEY

I’ll send you an address later, you got a bike?

GEORGE

Uh yeah
BIG MONEY
Good you’ll need it
George takes the parcel and gets on the train, at this point
George feels trapped and starts to look into help online on
the train

BIG MONEY TEXT MESSAGES

Delivered by 5 or there will be problems

George puts his head in his hands and looks depressed


It then cuts to George at home where he gets straight on his
bike and begins riding

MUMS TEXT

Where are you?

GEORGE TEXT

Just meeting a friend, I won’t be long

MUMS TEXT

Okay don’t be long

(EXT.) FRONT DOOR, EVENING

George arrives at the location and checks the address on his


phone, once confirming the address he gets the parcel out of
his bag, knocks and leaves it on the doorstep.

GEORGE TEXT TO BIG MONEY

Done it. I'm done were even

BIG MONEY TEXT

Not yet!

GEORGE TEXT

I didn’t ask for it and I don’t want it


BIG MONEY TEXT

What you don’t want is to piss us off. You’re done


when we say you’re done.

Camera zooms out from phone and shows angry George he then
smashes his phone on the floor in anger. Film ends and screen
with writing saying “don’t get trapped”
