October 18, 2022,
To whom it may concern:

This correspondence is in regard to Sarah Medeiros, a University of Arizona Bachelor of Science nursing
student graduating December 2022. I am honored to write this letter of recommendation for Sarah, a
competitive applicant for a New Graduate Registered Nurse position graduating with a 3.7 GPA. I had the
pleasure to work with Sarah during the fall 2021 semester as she was a clinical and didactic student in
NURS 366 “Acute and Chronic Illness Management 1”. I have been impressed with Sarah’s clinical skills
and motivation to succeed at the next level.

Ms. Medeiros demonstrated professionalism, competency, accountability, and leadership during the
pediatric clinical rotation at Tucson Medical Center. Sarah was highly motivated to learn as much as
possible from all disciplines. Sarah was assertive and not afraid to ask questions while assisting with care
for high acuity infants and children in the Pediatric ICU, Pediatric Medical-Surgical unit, and the
Pediatric Emergency Department. Sarah’s passion for emergency room nursing started with the fast-paced
environment in the Pediatric Emergency Department. Sarah jumped in to start an IV and drew blood as
she expressed a desire to be challenged. Sarah developed an immediate relationship with patients,
families, and interdisciplinary healthcare providers while providing wholistic and evidence-based care to
patients in the pediatric units. Ms. Medeiros required minimal assistance from faculty as Sarah’s ability to
prioritize care developed during the 180- hour preceptorship at Banner University Medical Center South:
Emergency Department.

In addition to strong clinical skills Ms. Medeiros demonstrated a distinguished level of service and
leadership to others as an active member for Delta Gamma Sorority at the University of Arizona. Sarah
held the position of Recruitment Records Chair for one year. Sarah has developed exceptional
interpersonal communication skills as well as participated in multiple philanthropic events. Ms. Medeiros
has proven that she can multi-task as she has volunteered as a COVID-19 Vaccinator for Banner Health, a
Food Driver, and a Reading Specialist Assistant while succeeding academically in the highly competitive
rigorous nursing program at the University of Arizona.

The University of Arizona, College of Nursing has prepared Sarah with a strong work ethic to succeed in
a challenging environment and learn at the next level. Sarah indicates a strong passion to serve others and
is ready for the challenge. Without hesitation, I highly recommend Sarah Medeiros for the New Graduate
Registered Nurse position. Please feel free to contact me for additional information if needed.

Sincerely Yours,

Beverly Bias, MS, RNC-NIC, NTMNC
