Why we need to have K-12 particularly English curriculum? The curriculum strives to teach
students that the English language is a dynamic social process that adapts to and reflects shifting
social situations and that it is intimately connected to our values, ideas, and ways of
understanding ourselves and the world in which we live.

Reflection on SWOT ANALYSIS In this activity,I recall my life situations and experiences in my
life .The struggles that I've encountered and also my strength and weaknesses that I need to face
and be threated. Also my opportunities in life, that will brought me in to my goals and my future
life.SWOT analysis is an essential activity while learning.

5 types of Children's Literature 1. Books- help kids develop basic language skills and profoundly
expand their vocabularies—much more than any other media. Books are interactive; they demand
that kids think. Fiction and nonfiction books widen our consciousness. 2. Stories- Stories have the
power to promote emotional and moral development. Children’s literature “contains numerous
moments of crisis, when characters make moral decisions and contemplate the reasons for their
decisions,” an important skill for children to see modeled for example, is a story about a crocodile
who is adopted into a family of ducks. 3 . Folklore- make easier for children to differentiate
characters, follow a plotline or recall a sequence of events. 4. Riddles- help children to understand
and interpret comprehensions with ease. Vocabulary: Children need to read a lot to increase their
vocabulary. This comes from constant practice. Riddles for kids are the best form of solutions
that helps to enhance their vocabulary. 5. Poem- it is the highest form of literature, influences us
because it shows different shades of human beings. In fact, poetry is one of the most ancient arts
and also the product of human imagination. It expresses different feelings such as friendship,
love, death and other human emotions.

APPROACHES

•Reader-Response Approach is centered on the belief that a work of literature comes alive when
the reader interacts and connects with it, and research explores the influence of the reader
response approach to promote text-to-self connections. •Traditional approach - are generally
teacher-directed and where students are taught in a manner that is conducive to sitting and
listening. •Language based approach - emphasizes awareness of the language of literature, and it
is the basic stage for language learners. This approach facilitates students' responses and
experience with literature and is considered quite accessible for language learners.

brought a huge impact in child's growth and development especially in literature it provide new
knowledge – by enriching children's vocabulary and enhancing their communication skills – but
also ensure emotional support during problematic circumstances of the life.
